Trip' Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Seeing that 17th's is coming to its end. As with all games no matter how good they are, I propose we hold a 17th finale night. On this night, everyone that has played 17th can come back for one more night and enjoy the zone one last time. I think it would only be apropiate that we hold it on December 30, seeing that no one will come if it was on New Year's Eve. And at the end of event we officially sign off and close down 17th Parallel. It's only fitting that a great zone go out with a bang rather than fiddle away into oblivion. Instead of remembering that 17th died very slowly, we'll all remember that it did come back for that one last night.
»Maverick Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 You can decide such things, Trip? Anyhow, I can't be online on the 30th
Delic Posted November 18, 2006 Report Posted November 18, 2006 Emblazon and Cord and MikeTheNose would rather leave it as it is, dead.MTN has shown time and time again that he would rather hire people who really don't know how to run a zone. If Emblazon really cared about the zone, he wouldn't just sit on this rotten zone, he'd give the job to someone more suited for the job.Of course, he doesn't even know who that would be, because who's to define a perfect 17th Head SysOp.The only way to really see that is by looking at the results, and so far he hasn't done anything that has worked out for 17th.Emblazon and Cord are two very stuck up, arrogant and selfish type of people who're only there so they can say that they're SysOps.!@#$%^&*, Emblazon was supposed to be in charge of Killer Instinct, whatever happened to that?Oh, it's more prestigious to say you're a 17th Parallel SysOp than KI.Either way, I think it's obvious that they've failed their objective.Of course SNOo will disagree with this, because from the very start he basically said that he didn't expect 17th to regain its former status. In other words, he didn't expect it to even become playable again. This is the SysOp that 17th has, and as long as this type of person is in charge, 17th will never become what it once was. 17th Finale? I would rather see someone else be given the chance to do something about the zone, and I know everyone probably thinks that I'm talking about myself, but if there was anyone else who was capable and had the same ambitions then I'd say "make him Head SysOp", unfortunately they're not around anymore. Will I ever stop you wonder? Not as long as these keys are still attached to this keyboard.
Tiq Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Will I ever stop you wonder? Not as long as these keys are still attached to this keyboard. I think that it's just gotten to the point that it's not so much about people wondering when you will stop: they have reached the point that they don't really care.
Trip' Posted November 19, 2006 Author Report Posted November 19, 2006 Or it could be that simple fact that people get bored of a game and stop playing....
Delic Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 Then how come other zones are still playable.. how come a lot of players left for other zones..Some people did get bored of SubSpace/17th and left because of that, but a lot of others left because they didn't like the zone that 17th had become.
MikeTheNose Posted November 19, 2006 Report Posted November 19, 2006 If you want to get together great, but you don't need to plan such an event based off of "The end of 17th". This topic is closed.
