i know deva is so small, but we cant always have a flag game going and dog fighting in just 2 freqs really isnt ALL That fun =\ i believe that change is good, but some things are good the way they are, IE private / multible freqs.

 

so, just to get everyones take on it please vote =]

This change was good back when Deva's population was more consistent and higher. Now it's annoying that you can't really dogfight especially when there's not an equal amount of people on each team, and when there's not enough people for flagging (hint:EST).

At least privs of 1 person should be added. Privs might damage the gameplay if they get too large (all the vets teaming up isn't good with a small population) but 1 person private freqs shouldn't damage flagging too much, while they really would help in center.

After further analysis I've come to the conclusion that having seperate freqs may prove to be a nuisance to the flag game. For example, having 1 or 2 seperate freqs flanking the attacking team. Personally, I can't stand that type of sh/t when there is a flag game going on with a low amount of players, for the most part.

 

So with that being said, if possible, when a decent flag game starts it would be nice to have a way to lock private freqs.

A 1 person priv can't really flank effectively though, not with the amount of repels used in a flag game, not to mention all the bursts and shrapnel. The only way a lone flanker could do any harm would be by using a brick, and even then he would have a hard time getting close enough to fire, since both freqs' repels would affect him.

the bot could easily just change to 2 freqs if the jackpot reached a certain level of points.

 

bot> Auto Freq Change in 20 seconds

bot> *some bot command to set players to freq 0, 1

You can't tell me that a 1 person priv flanking will not affect the flag game in any way. They tie up at least 1 attacker, in most cases 2, meaning less players will be on the attack. It takes away a player, or serveral players, from one of the 2 main freqs. With the already low amount of players actually *participating* in flag games, usually somewhere around 2v2 to 4v4, spreading out the players is not a wise choice.

 

Private freqs ftl, acc *setfreq ftw :rolleyes: (even though i voted for privs, change my vote, ty)

tm_master and I are discussing the possibility having private freqs but only 1 person per priv freq.

 

If anything, we plan to introduce it in the ASSS zone - where you have to BUY a private freq (and then you get to keep it until you leave the freq or the zone).

 

This way - even the people who never want to flag - need to flag in order to get enough credits to buy a freq!
