ok i have a 17" monitor and i want to force continuum into 1600x1200 but i dont know how to do it and if it is even possible, can somebody help me

First make sure the checkbox View / Advanced Options / Show Default Resolutions is unchecked.

 

Continuum uses the resolution settings from Windows. So if you want to force Continuum to run in a higher resolution you have to force Windows to show other resolutions. You can do this by doing the following:

Go to Display Properties (Right Click on desktop or Control Panel) / Settings tab / Advanced button / Monitor tab / Uncheck the checkbox 'Hide modes that this monitor cannot display'.

WARNING: Manually forcing the resolution of your monitor (higher then its set maximum) can give unexpected results or problems if not damage it. This is at your own risk.

Omg i didn't know you could do that, im going to do that on the monitor at home because it doesnt seem to work on this one. Probably because its windows 2000
