L.C. Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 I just figured out why and how the big drop was made on http://stats.trenchwars.org/index.php .After trying out a bunch of different directory servers and manually checking the total population in my download list, I somehow found SSCU Extreme Games at the bottom of the list underneath all the 0-populated zones (based on a listing of least to most populated zones). Then a thought hit my mind...Where's Trench Wars? I go back and search through all the directory servers again and see that it's nowhere to be found. It also seems like more than just Trench Wars disappeared because it seems more than the average population of it that dropped in the graphs. Trench Wars was shutdown? EDIT :: I don't know, but I see nothing of this issue on their forums or on their website. ★ 1587200 Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 If you remove it from your list, it won't come back up. Same thing on my end.
Gravitron Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 And that's a bad thing?More newb influx for the rest of zones. "The true measure of a man is how he treat someone who can do him absolutely no good."- Samuel Johnson
🜲 PoLiX Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 Only if they remove the zones from their list when they download the game. SSCX had the problem once before, not seems it is happenin again. I can't remember if it was somethin about the namep!@#$%^&*word, or the dir server self blocked the ip. But yeah, been like that for probably goin on 6 days now. SSForum.net - September 01, 2002 - Rowen (SSDownloads.Com), PoLiX (SSCentral.Com), and Cyberise (Subspace.Net)

Yeah, I remember when it happened to EG. Didn't know it happened to the whole of SSCX at the time. After checking the news posts there, looks like The Junky added it back or at least had a hand it getting it done. Someone of importance may ask him what he did to resolve it.

★ Maverick Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Yes L.C., I noticed the same.I was already checking the stats program and all sorts to see if the problem was there. I finally used Nebula to check the directory server output and noticed alot of SSCU zones not on it. I laughed about it seeing Priitk's directory !@#$%^&*ing up majorly by not displaying the biggest zone of Subspace doc flabby, ssdir.playsubspace.com does have Trench Wars but not all the zones the primary directory server has.
