Hey everyone, nice warbird+javelin Jab!

It's been awhile since I came back to ssforum.net (and I am freaking bored since wiremod.com's boards are freaking slow and Garry broke Expression 2...) so I'd thought I'd say "hi."

Unfortunately my computer was wiped earlier, so what little improvements I made to the Lancaster are lost now. (and by "little" I mean "none at all")

So yea....... Hi =3

BTW, my avatar in Steam is still the Lancaster, mostly for lack of a better alternative, but hey, that might mean something.

Ya know what, I'm freaking bored, so I am going to download continuum and play Trench Wars. And maybe I can finally make a lancaster in garrys mod or something. I've been meaning to do that for... 5 months? =P

Actually no. I do not do this manually, however I found the perfect sprite assembler, called GlueIt. Google it and get it. It is the best sprite maker out there i can find. Oh and yes it is free. I just tilt alittle then render. after rendering i assembled the rolls onto 10 sprites, ordered them, then assembled those too into one roll sprite. It works.

If your editor supports scripting, you might want to automate the process, so re-rendering a shipset would require only one click, and all your shipsets would be the same.

Aren't you using Blender? Someone had a script for that, actually... Not sure if it handled rolls, but it could be modified.

GlueIt is exactly the opposite of the AnimToImages program I made to split a tiled animation to a bunch of separate images... useful to split a font to use each character as a lvz image :)

Been looking for one of those since i lost one that overburn did... anyways it's nice to have. I do use blender but i know not python, and that script that that one guy made (forgot his name) i tried and it sucked. and no it did not handle rolls either. it's on the first page of this topic though

well, i could make a .exe to display a .x mesh, then display it rotated a bunch on 2 windows, and you would just printscreen into paint to get the ship rotation and rolls...

edit:

actually, i think ill just incorporate it into my mesh viewer...

Shoot. Well, after some time in Photoshop and playing with the Skew, Distort, and Perspective transformations, I managed to come up with the attached file. I also did it for the Spider and Warbird so far, I'll probably do all of them as I'm using them for my Infantry map.

Takes a while, though. :\ Maybe someone here can extrapolate a useful texture for their models.

Here's a link to the Spider, for some reason it won't let me attach more than 2 files.
