3d models of subspace ships?

Maybe it would be nice if it had a small insignia somewhere, maybe the ship logo, or some logo that could be the maker's logo (Avro), maybe a small marking of the model (4F/2 HMS Lancaster)

Could also be a place to put a banner... imagine this in thirdspace or whatever using 3D models, you'd get your banner right on your wings, would be great

 

Maybe small navigation lights, perhaps one on each wing... small red glowy light.

 

Just, small details that could be tried; for a HS-size shipset, these could add some character to it

 

If you make rolls, some details on the under-side could also appear

The only thing confusing about those ships is that the textures look strikingly simular to the VIE textures. Other than that, it's nothing IMO.

Wow, the thickness of all those ships are way out of proportion.

 

I lost my USB thumbdrive. Had a lot of source code on there, and other stuff that I did not want to loose. The only thing I can't really restore and that I actually care about is my sqlite module for ASSS, which has been backed up at bitbucket. The models were actually on my computer's HDD (lucky for you guys). Hopefully (REALLY hopefully) it will turn up, or someone will actually read and follow the instructions on the Reward for Return.txt file stuck in the root of the drive.

 

Jab, could you give me the model? I would like the new thruster/wing parts for some renderings I am going to do.

also, it took a half year of loosing my thumbdrive mysteriously before someone found it in the bottom under a carseat. shit happens, im sure if you are VERY responsible, it will turn up eventually.

tried new textures...

this looks fantastic. I think the texture needs some roughening up to make the ship look like its been in a battle rather then showroom fresh like diwas warbird but its really coming along nicely.

Yeah that is understandable, but even with that, rendering in a small ship version still made the ship seem clean. Ill look into it when I have time. I've been a very busy person lately (I got a job & school started )

Things on sides are followers, the one in the back is shooting a hyperspace tacnuke. this is actual size compared to the lancaster. I got this info from one called bill gates, who has apparently taken over the subspace continuum project.

Hi guys.

I've been playing TF2 and Garry's mod nonstop for a week now, minus school. Garrys mod is so addicting (at least when people aren't being morons and propkilling). Doesn't look like I missed out on too much, so, yeah... hi.

Warbird (I dont know how to put the textures on those, and the model is all just one mesh, so I cannot work with it :/)

 

Javelin - None

 

Spider - Dunno what Diwa did to that

 

Levi - corey must have stopped

 

terrier - not done

 

Weasel - dunno what gannon is doing with that.

 

Lancaster - pimped out and ready to fly

 

Shark - Mine and i have not worked on it since the screenshot.

 

NightWasp - same with shark.

 

 

I'll need a few models before I can work on my movie project. :/

Weasel - dunno what gannon is doing with that.

ATM, nothing, because of school and everything. Had to do a spanish dictionary with one spanish word for every letter. Openoffice seemed to run 5x slower than it should have, reason #987564653 why I need a new laptop. And now I have to write 70 vocabulary words 5 times each. My hand hurt after the 10th set of words...

 

I was trying to do a cockpit on the weasel, but I think I screwed up kinda bad; It's been awhile since I've worked on it so I don't know exactly what I did wrong, but I don't have a backup, unlike the 18 revision files for the lanc.

 

 

I also don't really like the side view of the javelin. The front looks very bloated and it doesn't look like it should have the "highest top speed" the SVS settings says it has. I would like to see it look more like a fighter jet, like it looks on the top view. The levi looks sort of the same way, not like it's going to go very fast.

 

So, yeah, I find out a bunch of neat contraptions for GMod that I want to try out but can't because my laptop runs like crap.

Maybe I can script the Lancaster into Garry's mod and fly around in it. Mount some turrets on it... give it displays in the cockpit with wiremod... Wow, I can already think of the possibilities

 

I might be able to split up the Warbird for you. It wouldn't be superfantasticpwnage but it might help you.
