9th Ship (or 10th, since Nightwasp came first in the history of Subspace)

http://allinjuan.com/img/ss2_shipb.jpg

Cockpit location resembles spider and lancaster, but with wings in reverse and the thruster caps on the wings, and the wings split into an x-wing style.

I might have lost some images, but I've been keeping images of 3D/new Subspace/2 related stuff, and I got around to uploading my archive to http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/subspace.

hmm... a 10th ship, and Jaun had a hand in it...?

Was there an official/semi-official 'Subspace II' being worked on a while back or something. I don't know anything about that... I'm intrigued...

I'm not a fan of the design. The Original Subspace ships look sleeker and better thought out. That one look too 'look at me, I'm a space fighter!'. If you know what I mean...

Though, Subspace II... somebody fill me in. I've been playing Subspace off-and-on since '95. Admittedly, mostly OFF :( So I probably missed anything about 'Subspace II'

Look at the subforums of Development Discussion blum.gif

It's far from an official project... just like Thirdspace and other projects like that.

I have no idea if it's just a custom design, or if has anything to do with the actual Subspace blum.gif

That definately does not look like Juan's art. That's just made up by someone else. Juan's work is much better with textures than.. pfft that. We'd know if that was around.

Also I talked with a huge dev buddy i had years back.. and he said some guy from super ships had the ss models and thats how he made those ships.. so that tells me right there that Death+ did have the models.. which pisses me off that he didnt share them.

I like the logo, seem's very creative.

HAHAHAHAH YOUVE BEEN ARCHIVING MY STUFF! Gratz (high-five)

I wonder why the image shown comes from "http://allinjuan.com".

Is it a different Juan...?

The font at the bottom is also the same font used on the old subspace client's UI in some parts. Is that font available...? If so, Where can I get it :(

Wait how'd you get inside that site? the main page buttons dont work.. give me the gallery link so i may browse in it.

same lol

Way to failread. "Site under reconstruction, (if anyone cares)."

Anyhow, the magical wonders of the Wayback Machine:

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://allinjuan.com

And to fill Diwa in on SubSpace II, it was supposed to be the next-generation SubSpace, except in 3D. But the images released were nothing more than a teaser. - There's now an actual project called SubSpace II (or Project SubSpace) which was started by Doc Flabby (you can check it out in another subforum). And yes, Juan did design that ship LC pointed out, though he admitted he didn't like the look, but moreso the concept.

I love Wayback Machine :(

Thanks for the back info on the image. I know of the current Subspace 2 project, somewhat. I haven't really looked into it though. Maybe I should...? I was sure that the image of the "Porototype X2" didn't come from the 'Subspace 2' project currently going on in the subforum here on ssforums... or is it...?

@ jabjabjab and Samapico: I just noticed that the image was coming from allinjuan.com when I viewed the image. It is being linked from his site.

Yeah I already found this out.

I thought that it was made from the current SS2 at first, but then i noticed that it was just too good for their work so i was like wtf juan must have hated this pos so he didnt do it.. then i realized.. yeah he did make it and hated it. Wish he could have made a shipset of it.. too bad. One thing is to note for sure he does have the models. (tries to contact again)

webmaster@allinjuan.com (as noted on the front page of the website) does not work, and the domain registration information for allinjuan.com is protected.

I found out that the images on his site were intact, just only that the webpages except the main index file were missing (thus redirecting back to the main index file). So to find the filenames of the images, I used Wayback Machine and then plugged them into the original URL.

It would probably be easier to find him through Google than a domain whois. He might have a resume or something floating around the net.

EDIT :: I also have a font that is extremely close in resemblance (every letter and character) to that font, which I also used on a website design template for Jackpot SVS. I'll dig up the font from my archive later.

EDIT2 :: I found my fonts in my archive of 45,000+ fonts, with the exception of the Dungeon series (I have a feeling that they have filenames that do not include the syllables of "dungeon"). However, with a stroke of luck, I found a free copy of the Dungeon font on the intarweb.

You can download http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ssfont_jsvs.rar, which are the fonts I used on Jackpot SVS' old website template at http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/jsvs_old_template.rar. Feel free to use (public domain, eh?). For those without Photoshop, this is Jackpot SVS' old website template that I never finished:

According to Mobygames, he was involved in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. Maybe sending an e-mail to the right person in the management department of that game might lead to something?

Your right. Juan L. Sanchez made our ships. I found his email and his yahoo! Aim, but he does not ever get on/respond to these. Just try to contact EA's help & support since he worked for Mercenaries.. Maybe use the same technique i used to contact & talk with Jeff Petersen a few weeks ago about these ships. It's apparent Juan still has them, he said it himself on his site too. Just find the Companies he's recently worked for and ask them how to contact them. If they give you any bluff or legal boundries just tell them to forward this message blah blah blah. In my case they just said "okay we will just ask him to give his email, and 30 min later i got it. Just try those things with Juan. Edited by jabjabjab

How is this for a support ticket starter?

Hi, do you have any contact information or ways I could speak to Juan Luis Sanchez? He's one of the developers of your "Mercenaries 2: World in Flames" game and also a game called "Star Wars: Battlefront". Thanks!

Joshua Szanto

Could have given a small reason, saying it's like about one of his games he worked on. (leave it open) they might be asking what game... then you can spill it and talk about continuum, aswell as let them know weve been trying to contact him for 5 years now and this is the only place i could find right now that could help out your situation very well blah blah blah etc. Edited by jabjabjab
