Guest Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 looks like continuum is quite incompatible with directx 9 in high resolutions. I am back to directx 8.1 and it works again Quote
PoLiX Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 GeForce 2 - theres your prob. My cous had the same prob. Had to undo "Hide modes this adapter cannot display" and it worked just fine. Quote
Mr Ekted Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 I can run Cont using dx 9.0b at 2048x1536 Quote
Guest Guest Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 I've given up on trying to get continuum working at higher resolutions, it would work one day and then not the next and a few days later it would work again. All people ever said was check your drivers heh... Quote
Guest Guest Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 ive experienced symptoms like that whilts messing around with detonator drivers on a amd system i have.only mine is a gforce4. crazy -*BAD WORD*- amd buggy via chipset. i think i ended up stickin with the manufacturers drivers. instead of the referance drivers and everything worked fine. solution. never get a amd. and dont tell me its got nothing to do with it. hehe i suppose thats why like almost every peice of hardware software there is has a AMD patch Quote

AoS Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 Yea that used to happen to me my brother just put in some kind of system or something(i forget the name) and it allowed me to have atleast 5 more resolutions i have mine running at like 1240x1080x8 one day then the next day i try to get on and it says theres a problem with my reso so i have to make it lower for a couple days, After a couple days of having it low it should be fixed. *note this will happen alot of times.tim12590@hotmail.com Quote
Dav Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 it depends on the system and what it can run, with DX9 your system thinks it cant run anything heigher the 1024x768. Quote
Bargeld Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 It's a known issue with GF2 cards. Change vid cards (the GF2 sux anyway, and you can get a GF4 440 with 128 ram for $40 US) Quote
