Dav Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 i feel the need for a rant. I phone epson tech support after finding my printer throws ot blank pages. "you will need to buy a new printer the eqivilant model is about £80" so in a last ditch effort i do some research, take it apart to find all i need to do is clear a blockage in the print head waste tube. does anyone else seem to think that these ASSS prey on the avarge joe user a bit too much when they could easily do this themselvs or pay somone with the know how a considerable amount less to do it for them. I know the responce will be "welcome to the capitalist world" but still...
Samapico Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 call them back, and tell them to eat !@#$%^&*
Altec Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 call them back, and tell them to eat !@#$%^&*LOL...nothing like getting to the point
»doc flabby Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 dont use inkjet printers they suck
SVS Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 dont use inkjet printers they suck Depends on what you are printing, in some cases (depending on the quality of the printer in question), you would be correct.
Dr Brain Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 It also depends on the printer. There are some really nice inkjets out there.
»doc flabby Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 they still all suck. the amount of money you spend on carts you could save by buying a color laser...
NBVegita Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 depends, I hardly use my printer, in 4 years I've replaced the black once, and the color never. I just use either work/college printers if I need to print something cause they're cheeper and free.
Dav Posted September 26, 2006 Author Report Posted September 26, 2006 call them back, and tell them to eat !@#$%^&* Better still the !@#$%^&* i removed from said tube. turns out this is a frequent problem with all the C8x printers they have made (and others using the same ink) youd think they would have tried to fix their ink formula by now... Laser printers are good for high amounts of printing but i dont do that much in reality, i replace my cartridges once per 6 months and a whole ream of paper will last me a year.
