»1587200 Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 Can someone please explain this:Deva-Bot-0> [syrusmx]C: 60 Avg: 60 L: 40 H: 210 S2C: 0.3 C2S: -3.-7 S2CW: 0.0
Dav Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 packets are sent twice on some occasions (chat data mostly i believe) when you start losing them. Server reads that some are recieved twice giving you more then expected and so calculates that as a -ve loss i believe.
Incomplete Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I've seen it plenty of times, mainly on bots though, I remember seeing a bot in the zone i used to work in which had over C2S -200 and i think it had a very similar S2C but it didnt have any affect on the bot for some reason.
SoM Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I been wondering about that aswell, 2 years ago i had -99.9 ploss for 3 months straight....thought i was fked forever when it came to subspace heh.
Delic Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 I had an explanation to this.. I think Mike told me once many moons ago.. forgot what he said though.Well what do you know, something useful came out of him! ;/ jk <3
»SOS Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 There is a nice FAQ topic !@#$%^&*led something like "What exactly is lag?" that explains this. In summary, it is just a random glitch in the networking system and does no harm (although servers sometimes kick you for it).
