Samapico Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 nothing.. it doesnt exist... you can't see it... IT IS NOT THERE... close your eyes if you still see it... it's probably just in your mind... hmm... *selects* *deletes*
RiiStar Posted October 25, 2006 Author Report Posted October 25, 2006 Gave it a test, and one thing i noticed with my Green Tileset i supplied to you as an example is when i get to the letter S it would select the tile directlyunder it instead when i try to bind it to the S key... Which happens to be the 9 numeric tile also does the same thingonce you got to the end of the row and try to bind the 9 tile to a key...selects the wall tile under it... http://www.riistar.net/text2tile.gif
Samapico Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 Also note there are a couple of cool things you can do you might not think about: You can select multiple tiles at once (ex. from A to S) and press the first key of the serie.. it will assign all the following letters (or numbers) as well. You can navigate in the tileset with arrows, shift-arrows for selecting multiple tiles (which seems kind of buggy for some reason though), backspace, space, page up, page down, home, end... each of these keys allow you to navigate in the tileset ; you shouldnt have to touch your mouse once when you assign tiles to text You can assign different tiles to 'a' and 'A' , for example, but if you only have defined 'a' and you type 'A' in your map, the tile !@#$%^&*igned to 'a' will appear ; so you dont have to bother with case unless you specifically !@#$%^&*igned different tiles to lowercase / uppercase of that letter Thanks for reporting that bug... actually it seems only the preview is screwed up, because if you type text in your map, the correct tile was !@#$%^&*igned... fixed
RiiStar Posted November 2, 2006 Author Report Posted November 2, 2006 Are you gonna add support for the numeric tiles? It works well!! Keep it up!
Samapico Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 numeric tiles are supported... edit -> edit text-tiles, and assign them and im almost done with these... just a few more things to do and it will work perfectly (i actually had to redo the whole thing a different way)
Samapico Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 and it's... DONE all keys except "Insert" are emulated at the moment. You do not have to draw a textbox anymore, you just click in, and type your stuff, you have to input the line returns manually. You can move cursor by clicking the mouse, you can select stuff with the mouse, or with shift-arrows an update might be available soon
Samapico Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 drake is the releaser... only he shall unleash the power of DCME
Drake7707 Posted November 3, 2006 Report Posted November 3, 2006 hehehe all hail me (although it's sama who made the entire thing , just a couple of rare hints from me), no seriously, its close to release, but not just yet. I know i know, you're all eager to use it (riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight you are ) but i just found a bug. Sama, use tiletext, then switch to zoom and zoom either in or out, you'll see what i mean. Also on pixel level ... err not really useful there is it ? To sama: On the other rare occasion, i actually commited a change, so update from repo
Samapico Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 its fixed now. the text tool remains active even if user switches to magnifier or hand tool, then he can come back to the text tool and write some more stuff. .. just figured it would need to auto-scroll when reaching edge of screen..and I just figured i didnt make it check for map bounds either... ew... fixingedit: cool, we can copy-paste text from/to outside the program...didnt realise that edit2: all known bugs fixed
