OMFG I am using Firefox!

And I like it (this time). For now.

Why did I give FF another try? Not because of some philosophical crap - I happen to passionately hate open source software. Just because one little tiny bug in IE pissed me off. IE refused to load a page. It did not even connect. Opening another browser window worked fine. But that one window refused to connect to a page. !@#$%^&* that.

10 or so extensions and a better looking theme (99% of the gallery sucked - the free software world is so incredibly bad on usability and design, which means it has low quality useless crap).

Actually, I only use it at work. I have not had time to clone it over to home (I am not going to look those 10 extensions up again and search for the only good-looking theme again...). Will do on Monday.

I've been using Firefox for quite some time now. I have used IE no more than 10 times since I switched. It's so much more reliable, not to mention more secure. I love it. IE can burn.

Video Downloader: Saves you the time of searching though your cache to find vids you view on websites.

Web Developer: Greatest extention ever.

IE Tab: Opens IE in a new tab. Automaticly opens IE for IE only sites (windowsupdate.microsoft.com, etc)

iFox: Slick theme. Small and out of the way, and gives me the most screen space.

My personal setup consists of the Opera browser, and my primary and secondary DNS set to:

208.67.220.220

208.67.222.222

OpenDNS.Com (See Above DNS). Speeds your internet up a bit by finding the quickest route of resolving requests.

Oh, by the way: firefoxmyths.com

Opera > (Firefox ~= IE)

Who was bragging? I was stating that I've used it and I prefer it over IE.

I use IE 7 on my laptop and the one i use with my pc is IE 6. I never had a problem with IE.

Well, if you're not downloading everything in site, IE is fine. I don't like it because of it's age - it doesn't adhere to current web standards. If you're just coming here and the campus website, IE is sufficient.

The biggest hole in IE is the user.

Yes but the software must protect the user from its own mistakes. I must say that FF is doing a better job in that then IE.

Thats when IE 7 comes in to play. Its just a safe as ff.

I started using firefox because I liked the name and the tabbed browsing.

As for the open source crap, im not a big fan of it.

If open source could have a human form this would be it.

opera has tabbed browsing as well..

i actually use both and i think opera has a few things firefox doesnt and vice versa

for example opera lets u continure from the last page you saw, and lets you reopen a tab if you accidentally close it

Firefox has the extensions, which as far as i have seen, opera does not.

Yeah, FF is much more customizable than any other browser out there, which is why I think it's gotten so much attention, not to mention it's W3C compliancy, which IE refuses to use.

Opera has extensions but not as many as firefox.

I'm currently trying out Opera I like some things and miss somethings from FF, dunno wich one I'll start using.

Oh Opera extensions go here: http://widgets.opera.com/

The pandora widget/extension whatever is pretty cool, and Chuck Norris facts generator is essential for Opera use.
