Deathboy-evil Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 How about something like a damage condition wall, walls are supposed to be broken down not dissapear into mid air. I'm not sure if theirs something that can do this but how bout something like, a damage controlled wall, (affects all types of Bricks) for different bricks, they've got different damage controlls, example. Someone lays a wall, (will have a timer but a bit longer) in basing, if you shoot at the wall, it would have.. say 10000 life ish.. the more you shoot at it the more it breaks down.. when it hits 0, it'll disappear and the life could drain fast.. like put a seperate timer on it for an automatic drain, and a bigger drain when its hit. (In basing that could go by fast) .. just a suggestion..
mill Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 its possible, ASSS can place bricks on the map. If you can set up a "virtual hitpoints counter" you can count 10000 damage, and an lvz or something cna show a brick breaking down. They did this on battlefield on subgame, where there was a door that opened and closed when shot at and destroyed.
Deathboy-evil Posted September 15, 2006 Author Report Posted September 15, 2006 hmm, meh, the idea only popped in my head, and i figured it might make everything.. make more sense lol .. just looking for opinions..
Doom-Squirrel Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 I think a wall that's owned by nobody, that you can use bouncing bullets/bombs off of would be a good addition. Of course, it'll be useless unless the user somehow is able to control the orientation in which it appears
mill Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 ASSS can redraw bricks wherever it wants
mill Posted September 23, 2006 Report Posted September 23, 2006 let me rephrase, ASSS can draw bricks wherever it wants in relation to something else. (such as the moving bricks on EB, brick timer was 1, every second it would draw a brick in front of a ship, thus looking like it follows the ship)
Dr Brain Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 Let me rephrase. This whole thread is talking about something that's not possible.
Sound Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 Let me rephrase. This whole thread is talking about something that's not possible. It's been done.
mill Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 It's been done, but not with bricks, but with warp doors
Deathboy-evil Posted September 25, 2006 Author Report Posted September 25, 2006 so I guess that mean, Doc's right?
Deathboy-evil Posted September 26, 2006 Author Report Posted September 26, 2006 can we try to stay on topic here.. I was here to see if it was possible or not, not to see what people's definition's of Warp Doors are.
Sound Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 And your question has been answered, hasn't it. Maybe if you knew what a warp door was you would know more about how possible it would be to make such a brick, dbe.
Deathboy-evil Posted September 27, 2006 Author Report Posted September 27, 2006 What are warp doors? I believe you were the one asking the question of what warp doors are. I know what a warp door is. Your last response didn't have anything to do much towards my question. I'm not much of a progr/dev, so I asked for confirmation, not for at!@#$%^&*ude. "Maybe if you knew what a warp door was you would know more about how possible it would be to make such a brick, dbe." As I see it, for this thread, their has been for's and against's it actually happening. "It's been done, but not with bricks, but with warp doors" I asked if, overall, it meant that it couldn't be done. All I needed was a yes or no. That's it.
Dr Brain Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 It's theoretically possible, but the effect wouldn't be as good as one might hope, and it would be a real pain in the !@#$%^&* on top of that. For all intents and purposes, it's not possible.
Sound Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 I believe you were the one asking the question of what warp doors are.Wrong question. If it's possible in some way - Yes.As long as you give me at!@#$%^&*ude i feel complied to give it back.
Deathboy-evil Posted September 27, 2006 Author Report Posted September 27, 2006 That wasn't att!@#$%^&*ude, Thanks Doc for the reply. You simply accused me of being the oen who asked the question when it was you who asked it. Not me. It was just a simple response. There is a difference between that and at!@#$%^&*ude.
Deathboy-evil Posted September 27, 2006 Author Report Posted September 27, 2006 I asked the question at the beginning of the thread, I did not ask the question of what warp doors are, yet you were the one who asked, What are warp doors... not me..
mill Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 Warp doors are the tiles that are solid or fly-through based on doormode. (Base 3 doors) can we try to stay on topic here.. I was here to see if it was possible or not, not to see what people's definition's of Warp Doors are. How is asking what the most vital part of the module is off topic?
