Evo3 Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 When I join a private freq whenever I spawn or warp (hit ins, run into a wormhole, get bricked, etc) I spawn at 0,0 the very top left of the map (which is unfortunately a tiny open area which I can't escape-- the only way I can get out is by attaching or summoning. Dr Brain Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Continuum handles all spawning in HS (it used to be different). Unless a module is acting up, I'd say it's a cont bug or settings packet error. If you close cont all the way and reenter does it still do it? Quote
JoWie Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 That could be done in the old hs by using a portal and hypertunnels. I don't think its 0,0, more like -1,-1 Quote

It hasn't done it for a little while, either. Also if I'm in a Lancaster, I'm invisible until I move. Quote
mill Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 0,0 would be bottom left, if ur using a grid Quote
Bomook Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 0,0 would be bottom left, if ur using a gridIf you're in Quadrant I, yes. However, Continuum is Quadrant IV on a Cartesian coordinate system. That could be done in the old hs by using a portal and hypertunnels. I don't think its 0,0, more like -1,-1Also, while JoWie is correct about being able to leave the boundaries of the map with the portal glitch, I think what Evo. is talking about (I haven't seen this first-hand, so correct me if I'm wrong) is indeed being around 0,0. The top left corner of the outer edge of the hypertunnel wall is actually at 5,5. Meaning there's an open space that ships can fly around in if they somehow got in there. Of course, I still don't know what the glitch is that makes him spawn up there in the first place, but what seems to be a simple solution to me is plugging up the area in the top left with the black solid map border tiles. JoWie Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 but what seems to be a simple solution to me is plugging up the area in the top left with the black solid map border tiles. or tile 242, which doesn't show up on radar and is already being used in the hypertunnel triple wall Quote

It's not the server spawning you there, mook. Filling in tiles wouldn't help anything. It'd only make it so you'd fly repeatedly into wormholes. Quote
»D1st0rt Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 You're in quadrant I, mirrored across the x axis Quote
