Some animal lovers aren’t shedding any crocodile tears for Steve Irwin.

The Aussie naturalist' date=' known as the Crocodile Hunter, was killed last week by a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Reef. But the folks at PETA are neither surprised nor upset by his passing.

“It comes as no shock at all that Steve Irwin should die provoking a dangerous animal,” PETA’s Dan Mathews tells The Scoop. “He made a career out of antagonizing frightened wild animals, which is a very dangerous message to send to kids.”

Does Irwin’s career as a naturalist impress the animal-rights group? Says Mathews: “If you compare him with a responsible conservationist like Jacques Cousteau, he looks like a cheap reality TV star.”[/quote']http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14626178/

In essence, PETA said Steve Irwin deserved it. Tucker Carlson of MSNBC said, "Every now and again PETA has to let everyone know they're so crazy they're unsuportable." Discuss.

I have to agree with statement completely. I can't say wether Steve deserved to be killed by an animal that has only caused 4 deaths in the last 100 years, but he did know the risks of his profession.

Yeah, but Grizzly Man had some mental problems. Anyone see that movie? Kinda sad, even tho he was a bit of a nutter.

Steve was cool and he was doing this !@#$%^&* even before he even get on the TV. The TV asked him to do it and after THINKING about it he said yes.

Yeah, and don't compaire Steve Irwin to the Grizzly Man. From a Darwinist perspective they are completely different. (Because Irwin lasted long enough to make a contribution to the gene pool)

Show me a member of PETA (the real PETA) and I'll show you someone who:

10. Is mentally re!@#$%^&*ed.

9. Hasn't shaved his/her legs/armpits/genitals in years

8. Should be shot.

7. Who should then have all their pieces used.

6. Who's probably a Tom Cruise wannabe.

5. Claims to be a PETA member while using tires (animal fats go into tire production).

4. Claims to love animals but will !@#$%^&* about dog!@#$%^&* on the sidewalk.

3. Is not hot.

2. Is not cool.

1. Has not been laid in years (if ever).

All wild animals would take a big old chomp outa your !@#$%^&* if they had the chance. Antagonzing them by tackling them and sticking them in front of bright !@#$%^&* camera lights is funny.

But im not shedding any "crocodile tears" for the remedial journalist that wrote that first line.

I hate PETA.

Steve Irwin did nothing of the sort to frighten and terrorize animals. He helped relocate them and then helped them rehabilitate in his zoo, the Australia Zoo.

He saved a lot of animals, and also passed on knowledge about them through his television series. I'm sure that right there has saved a number of human lives.

Peta can suck my non-existent right nut, because I think Steve Irwin was an inspiration to me. he died doing what he loved, he had fun with his life, he lived it to the fullest. How many people would be able to say that?

Anyways, here's food for thought:

interesting facts. Not sure if it's all true, but it might be. OH, and if PETA is for the liberation of all animals and equal rights for humans and animals, and if they think that humans are on the same level as animals, then why would they rather a human die than an animal? According to them, we're on the same level, so shouldn't we get as much rights as the animals?

""When asked which he would save, a dog or a baby, if a boat capsized in the

ocean: "If it were a re!@#$%^&*ed baby and a bright dog, I'd save the dog.""

"What would happen if you have a child. The child is dying of diabetes. It needs an insulin injection. The only way to get it is from a lamb. Do you kill the lamb in order to get th einsulin so you can save the child, or do you let the child die?

A: Well, I... would not even for myself... or for... I would not knowingly have an animal hurt for me or my children, or anything else."

"Six million people died in concentration camps," laments Ingrid Newkirk, "but six billion broiler chickens will die this year in slaughterhouses."
