»doc flabby Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 Is any work being done to develop the continuum client?
»SOS Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 Not for the last 3 years or so and probably never will.
»SOS Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 It was "released" to a small group. It used to be publically distributed, as well, if I remember correctly (my og, that was a while ago!). Hmm, I do not have it at the moment. Maybe it is on SSDL.

Witchie NL Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 conti's bigest problem is that it isnt developed. Thats why no new weapons have been added yet.
»D1st0rt Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 conti's bigest problem is that it isnt developed. Thats why no new weapons have been added yet.Adding completely new weapon types is probably really low on the "things to change in the client" list, so even if it was being actively developed we might not have any.
Witchie NL Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 but still the main problem is that its not developed.
Mr. Right Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 www.rshl.org/bak/client.php more support = quicker time of completion.
»doc flabby Posted September 8, 2006 Author Report Posted September 8, 2006 The problem is the design of subspaces client-server security is flawed. how many servers wwill let discretion connect....
Smong Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 All you need is to make modifications to the protocol so a new client is incompatible. Then add server side modifications to allow this new protocol, at the same time add access control. The access control will allow the established zones to only allow trusted players, testing zones can turn off the access control.
»D1st0rt Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 but still the main problem is that its not developed.I agree with you, but was just pointing out that your argument for the lack of new weapons was flawed
