Guest Izrath Posted September 3, 2006 Report Posted September 3, 2006 http://edome.fi.soneraplaza.net/subspace/cgi-bin/squad.cgi http://subspace.inet.fi/ Is this going to be fixed or is it gone ? Anyone know?
PoLiX Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 actually, that'd be one of the last involvements BD has.
Bajan Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 actually Pol, since BD left Sonera, he has no control over it anymore. So the stats will eventually die on that site, I am working to get this sorted out and moved hopefully to a new home.
PoLiX Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 *cough scores.sscentral.com cough* j/p But yeah. He has still had ftp to them. Yes, no control over the subdomains or anything, but he has had access tot he files.
Smong Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Time to convert to ASSS http://pirates.sszones.com/stats.php
Guest Guest Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Agreeably, ASSS is an ugly !@#$%^&*le. I think XXXX-A is also ugly. A is an ugly letter, unless used by someone who has mastered its ugliness and managed to turn it to beauty. Personal stubbornness and pickiness prohibits me from switching to ASSS. Although more powerful, a very ugly first impression by its name. I stick with the regular server tools on the other hand because it really doesn't take too long to configure it (if it does, then... *word*) and launch it. I think its rather very easy to learn and to learn its skeletal structure. I've approached ASSS through SSH/FTP, and it looked very complicated (even somewhat the configuration stuff). I personally think it would take more time to learn that. I just don't have the willingness (perhaps also time) to learn it. Of course, since ASSS is open source and runs off of things like python, I highly doubt it would be the hardest thing to make a scores generation script like that. It looks nice, needs a better interface though.
Guest 2b3 (EG) Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 now that you say that BDVine is not with Sonera anymore... in case the stats don't come back again, is there a backup of the old resets we can reconstruct? would be a shame to see the stats go, they are part of the game's history.
»Blocks Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 in case the stats don't come back again, is there a backup of the old resets we can reconstruct? would be a shame to see the stats go, they are part of the game's history.Agreed, shame to lose them. Also on a somewhat unrelated topic, will the information currently available at http://stats.trenchwars.org become available through the new SSCentral? That would be hunky-dory.
»Maverick Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 will the information currently available at http://stats.trenchwars.org become available through the new SSCentral?Like, hosted on stats.sscentral.com ? It already is but it's a mirror. Ok.. which !@#$%^&*hole removed it... <_<
