Himura Kenshin Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Hey guys this is Drizzit back fromt he dead. I am working on getting Super Fortress back up and will be dedicated to working on it. I was the original owner with Jonus when we had 30-40 peopled edicated in the zone. I was wondering if there was any Host out there that was reliable with very little down time and lag?
E64 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I will be willing to host your zone if your dedicated. My network is SSN
»Maverick Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 But you won't be able to get 30-40 people in your zone without massive lag with Emulator's hosting
»Maverick Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 or read/use this forum; http://forums.minegoboom.com/viewforum.php?f=5
»doc flabby Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I can host your zone but there are plenty better options in the forum listed above. rember to add ssdir.playsubspace.com to your list of directory servers.
»1587200 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Don't listen to these fools who say they'll host you, they're all running DSL or cable. Contact Death+ (SSCI), Gameplay (SSCI-A for ASSS), SVS/Testtube (SSCC) or Altec (SSCB). They all run dedicated servers with ssc access. If you're zone is good enough, they'll host it and you won't have to worry about having your zone hosted by some kiddie on a win xp home machine that sits in their bedroom.
gameplay Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 SSCI/SSCI-A zone hosting request forum link is below.http://www.sscontinuum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=335 PS: I am an Admin of SSCI, I only maintain the zones, keep them up and happy. It is up to Death+ if your zone gets hosted by SSCI/SSCI-A.
»doc flabby Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Don't listen to these fools who say they'll host you, they're all running DSL or cable. Hey dont judge my server before you know its spec. My server runs Flabby.tv and getsubspace.com It has 100mb connection. My server runs subgame and ASSS on linux. The server is located on the west coast so will be a bit laggy for euros Im from uk and it averages 180 ping, which is kinda high really. if you can get SSC or/and a reliable east coast host thats much much more preferable to my option.
PoLiX Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 Eh, the server we got for SSCB west has decent pings for euros, and good for aussies too. Typically why the West Coast was a hot spot for the larger zones, because it caught more Aussies then the rest have. Central US is also a good spot to raise a zone too.
The Apache Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 let super fortress die already, confess already killed it when he tried to raise it. (again)
TeHsU Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 I wonder how well ASSS hosting is going nowadays, excuse me for being out of date, I actually have a Unix Server, No downtime, on a 100mbit, located in Dallas, Texas, im sure i can help out ASSS people..
