protoman.exe Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Oh didn't read the 2nd question properly. Im for "No - Update the existing client" instead of "Yes"
Telson Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 updating would be great yes, for the people who already play. I dont see it attracting new players tho. But then again, noone really knows until its updated.
Dav Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 i think a new client would kill alot of the playerbase as many wouldnt bother transfering so update is the best option.
»1587200 Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Instead of "new client" it should read "additional client". I don't see any problems with a second option for a client, espically since the current one is pretty much dormant as far as development goes. I voted yes and yes, but I think an additional client, and an update to the current one would be fine.

»1587200 Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Well, I think any additional clients should be closed source, as open source software is more prone to abusers and hackers, imo.

L.C. Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Subspace in its current state, with no work being done on the client will die.Subspace will never die. Nobody can force you not to have a SubGame, Subbill, Subdir, or to update your Continuum client. These are things that can't be taken away.
