Shock Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 First of all, I need to forward a port for uTorrent since I'm using a router. So, I forward it, and it tells me it's not open. I went to portforwarding.com and read the uTorrent guide for my router and followed all the instructions. It still tells me it's not open. What can I do? I have a linksys router, model WRT54G v4.
Bargeld Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 Yeah, this really has nothing to do with ss/continuum.
»SOS Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 But I'll answer it anyway There are three possibilities (!@#$%^&*uming you did everything right). 1) You have a firewall that is blocking it. Maybe the XP firewall, maybe an extra firewall in the router - find it and disable it.2) uTorrent or the router is badly configured - try again.3) Your ISP is blocking uTorrent - try a different port, although your ISP might be blocking all ports. Nothing you can do in that case.
Shock Posted August 1, 2006 Author Report Posted August 1, 2006 Yep, it was the router firewall, thanks.
