First of all, I need to forward a port for uTorrent since I'm using a router. So, I forward it, and it tells me it's not open. I went to portforwarding.com and read the uTorrent guide for my router and followed all the instructions. It still tells me it's not open. What can I do?

I have a linksys router, model WRT54G v4.

But I'll answer it anyway smile.gif

There are three possibilities (!@#$%^&*uming you did everything right).

1) You have a firewall that is blocking it. Maybe the XP firewall, maybe an extra firewall in the router - find it and disable it.

2) uTorrent or the router is badly configured - try again.

3) Your ISP is blocking uTorrent - try a different port, although your ISP might be blocking all ports. Nothing you can do in that case.
