Ive heard Delic has been banned from forums. This true, and if it is, was it over the stuff he was sayin concerning DT??? Yea I disagreed with him and really didnt know what he was getting so angry about but seriously. If he was banned because of that, thats just lame !@#$%^&* bull!@#$%^&*

Delic wasn't banned from 17th forums because of his comments concerning DT. Delic has posted nothing but negativity in every topic and for a zone that is trying to attract new players, these type of responses on our forum makes the zone look bad. Every new idea for the zone has been shot down because Delic doesn't agree with it. News flash, Delic isn't in charge of 17th. I found it justified and absolutely necessary to restrict Delic's posting priviledges based on all of his actions, not just those pertaining to DT.

Uhm....that makes no sense at all SNOo. New players that come to the zone dont even know about forums, and therefore wont read em. Second, if new ideas are being shot down because Delic doesnt like em, it looks like Delic "is" in control of the zone, seein that all he has to do is complain about somethin and it doesnt happen. Which this is not true anyhow.

 

Forums are for people expressing their ideas, whether their stupid, smart, or redundant, it doesnt matter. If you dont like what Delic is sayin, then either dispute his claim or just plain ignore him....its as simple as that.

 

And finally, if the goal of the zone is to get new pop, then doesnt it look bad when the staff bans someone on forums for being negative?

alright, i just found out that delic was spammin to new players to go to dsb or another zone whenever they come to 17th. this was not previously known by me, and i retract my previous post! May Delic eat my shorts!!

1) Trip you're an idiot if you think what X'terr said is true.

I didn't advertise for DSB to newbs. I did mention DSB like I mention milk and Shakira to people I already know, just like I mention 17th to people in DSB when the topic comes up, but I don't spam/ad for any zone.

 

Even if that lie was true, what the !@#$%^&* does the forum got to do with it? I would've received a ban in the zone.

Come on Trip', use that thing inside your skull.

 

2) I didn't break any rule to deserve this ban. All I did was criticise staff for the changes made, all I did was voice my opinion.

And negativity in all my posts? Shot down every new idea?

You're the one who made that thread to ridicule me, to which I didn't reply with a flame post or anything like that.

I shot down the ideas I didn't agree with, but I also told you which idea I liked and thought was good.

 

So come on SNOo, you can come up with something better than that ;/

SNOo made a very big mistake with this move. Who wants to play in a zone where the SysOp censors a player by deleting and editing posts?

He guess he thought no one would know or something. Either that, or he's just stupid.

I personally think it looks good if a sysop stand up and has balls enough to take action when people do stuff like that delic. Think of it as a business. If a person walks in (customer or not) and starts ranting and raving incessantly about how much the place sucks and how everything is wrong, someone will through his !@#$%^&* out. It's not a matter of pride. The owner won't have him thrown out because he feels hurt by the action, but he'll do it because it's bad for business.

 

On the other hand, if that same person came in and asked to talk to management and had a polite talk about the things that could be run differently, the owner should be happy to listen. This would be good for business.

 

Does anyone understand the distinction here? Delic for the most part you are the first example when it comes to forums. Try not to hate me too much for this though. Doesn't reflect any personal feelings towards you.

dude, i didnt hear that from xterr.....i heard that from a few diff people throughout 17th. and whenever i see you in dsb the only time you mention 17th is when you say youre from there or im from there, nothing else.

 

and cubbies does have a point. there are other zones to play, and u know that. so if ya really dont like 17th and ya hate whatever is bein done in there then just go to another zone and leave 17th alone.

And how often are you in DSB? Last month I've seen you there like 2 times, so how would you know?

As I said, I talk about 17th in DSB when the subject comes up, same thing in 17th about DSB. But I don't advertise like the way you said.

 

And.. I couldn't play 17th even if I wanted to due to the lack of people. And even when it does have something like 4vs4 in pub, it's pretty rare that you see me playing.

 

If I hated 17th, I wouldn't be here. I love 17th and that's why I always gave my opinion about the changes being made.

 

You make a good point though Cubs. I don't look at it from exactly the same point of view of course, but you're absolutely right using the situation you presented :)

ill say this as simply as i can for you delic. you werent banned because your opinions differed from my own. you were banned because all the negativity you spread on this forum will only make the zone look bad to potential new players. ive never claimed to be the perfect sysop, but order has to be maintained on this forum. i dont randomly ban people for my own enjoyment. I did it because in my view, it was the best action for the zone. however, i do realize that this is abusive and there are other ways of handling the situation. i have removed the restrictions on your delic account.

I didn't post it for any particular reason other than because he said the quote was taken out of context.

It wasn't meant to prove or show anything, just the truth, and then you make your own judgements ;) Same with all my logs ;)

 

Annoying to you and people like you, sure.

 

EDIT: And Emblazon is full of !@#$%^&* as usual. I guess he has to "look good" or seem like what he's done is correct to the members of SSC and staffers from other zones who visit these forums.

Maybe that's why my signature was deleted (once again.)

Admitting that you abused may not have been such a good idea though.

 

What do you know, sometimes a bit of truth does come out of you.

As Official commencer of this thread, I move for a motion to get back to the topic at hand which is Duel Tournament.

 

Delic's situation is amazingly old already, and has no more business being talked about because it wont get any farther than it already has.

 

So without further adeau, duel tournament seriously needs to be wrapped up soon. And somethin else needs to be started up!
