were not noobs here delic, ive been playin for 3.5 years man. look, all i said was "try". I never said make it a permanent fixture into the zone. The key to making a successful zone is to try new things. Well this is a NEW thing! Look what happened last time, the zone is overrunned with jav events and people lost interest....and leave. I'm just sayin, lets "try" a multiship event. I could only be once or twice. I'm just saying, lets atleast................TRY!

Yes. I've seen many thing been tried. Unfortunately the real problem with 17th is those who are [mis]leading it.

That's been the major problem ever since EO and DW stepped down, and until that is fixed, nothing else will be truly fixed.

17th will never regain what it had as long as that kind of people are in charge, no matter how much they try, no matter how much they mean well..

 

The results of their "work" has proved it, so I don't really have to say sh1t. It's obvious. They're just not suited for the job. They don't know how to take 17th back to the top, and Emblazon has said that he doesn't even think that can happen so I mean, what kind of Head SysOp is that?

its call being realistic, try it sometime. subspace population as a whole is not what it was back then delic. think what you want of me, but at least i do something, i dont just sit back and whine and cry and bark out demands based entirely on opinion. its not like im sitting here, just deciding to do random things for the zone. in any case, im not going to argue with you because that is all you do with anyone that is in charge. you are as bad of an attention !@#$%^&* as lisa, except some ppl actually listen to you (mostly gollums). anyway, lets not turn this into a flame post. this was meant to be a topic about the DT that is currently running. stay focused people.

Yes. It is realistic that 17th will continue to stay the same as long as your ambitions and expectations are that low.

 

We've seen NEW zones rise to become more popular than 17th is at the moment, even after the general SubSpace population dropped, so..

 

You "do things" because you're the Head SysOp, I can't really do much since I'm not in charge of the zone, so your comparison isn't logical, our positions are too different.

 

Demands based on opinion? Sure buddy, whatever you want to call it.

My suggestion was to give 17th its originality back by using elements from the old gameplay in a new way.

 

But I guess that sounds too complicated to you so you would rather keep a gameplay that some old guy who didn't even play the game came up with by randomly changing ship settings, taking away the shipset that went with the zone theme and made sense, REALISTICALLY.

 

And not surprisingly you come with the attention !@#$%^&* comment. That's original, good job! I'm impressed.

BTW did you update the periodic message saying I won the weekly DT again? It's not being messaged often enough either.

Right now it's mostly to kill time with this entertaining way of communicating until skool starts next week..*S*

 

So to answer your question, no, I don't get bored of it. Not more than I get bored of pressing ctrl in SubSpace (you should see my ctrl key after 5 years of SubSpace.)

 

Do you not get bored of repeatedly typing that kind of posts? Also a genuine question.

i had very long responses to most of what you said, but i decided its not worth my time to respond to you, considering your history and your treatment of past hsysops. so ive cut it down to the basics.

ive said 17th doesnt have the potential that it used to.

its not going to regain it because of the BS surrounding the zone and certain players that still play here.

ive never once forbidded any event.

2v2Bot is not up because spawn bot is not up.

i cant do anything about spawn bot because i am not nurples.

i have been running my bot in 2v2, and no one plays.

17ths main problem was its focus on jav-only events.

i never once specified one event.

2v2 just happened to be the popular jav event AT THE TIME the zone was struggling most.

Jav-only events dont include everyone.

there isnt near the number of jav players remaining in the zone that there were 3 years ago.

im not going to pull a vile on everyone and ban jav events.

i would to make the other events that include other ships more popular.

 

i want you to remember one thing delic. the hsysops before me that you commonly bash for creating a gameplay when they "didn't even play the game" "by randomly changing ship settings" are unlike me. ive played this game and zone for over 5 years. anyone that knows who i am knows that up until i took this hsysop position, i was a regular player in pub and multiple events. know ur facts, not just ur opinions, before you make judgments

thanks, friend... im only an !@#$%^&* to those who are an !@#$%^&* to me, so i return the favor. when i say this, i mean players like delic, maynard, akida, floo, etc. I think they are just still full of hate for vile that they sometimes forget that vile isnt in charge anymore. (and delic, before you respond to that saying something like "you are doing all the things vile did, you might as well be vile, please remind yourself of what i said above.)

 

and btw delic, 17th has tried many variations of turf maps, they dont work. why should i have any faith in ur turf idea? just cuz ur delic? that dont mean much to me.

There isn't near the number of players, period. The last time 17th had 30+ people (PLAYING), they were all in Rumble.

Don't lie to the people, you're the Head SysOp! The only event you seemed to have a problem with was 2v2..

..the reason you gave me was that people didn't like waiting for the next round to begin.. haha.

You had no problem with Rumble being up though.

 

And where do I say that it has to be my map? If someone made a map that I'd think was better for turf flägging then I'd recommend that one, but so far I haven't seen any pubmap with that kind of turf.

No "good" pubmab with turf in focus has ever been made in 17th, not with that kind of turf.

 

And that was pretty re!@#$%^&*ed, especially considering the theme.

 

Welcome to 17th Parallel. Hold your territory while attempting to take over your adversary's.

 

Turf flagging in 17th is hardly my idea. My idea was to modernize the turf flägging we already had and use it in a new way. It would be the most logical gameplay to go with if you consider the theme but of course you probably won't do that. This is why you sukk as Head SysOp.

And yes I have been criticizing past Head SysOps because of their nubiness and that's only natural considering what they have and haven't done.

 

All successful leagues in SubSpace that I've seen do not combine different games in the gameplay, probably because of the unbalance that is easily caused by this.

Yes, you rescheduled week 3 because there wasn't enough.

You made it sound like you've been successful everytime.
