i dont follow the politics of the zone too closely... but what happened to the zone?

 

i know there was a split in staff to killer instinct, but that's about all i know.

heres the run down for ya

 

when vile left his hsysop position, caress & telson & pernille took the leproject project they had been working on and created killer instinct. a couple 17th staff members quit and joined them. nothing happened with KI. mike was left with kyla and nex out of 7 sysops that vile had, including himself. nexus was chosen to be the next hsysop by mike. eventaully, nexus fired me from my smod/devcoord position, so i left 17th for KI as well, resuming my dev work there. i was made smod, then sysop. then !@#$%^&*umed hsysop there as i continued to develop the zone alone. 2 months later, tex logged into a 17th bot because of nexus's ignorance/neglect/mistake/whatever. he removed all staff except nurples from the sysop list, and changed the sysop pass then he changed the billing pass which disconnected the zone from the player database. nurples had nothing to do with any of tex's actions. fortunately, nurples was able to get the zone back online and is currently helping the zone recover. i decided it was time to come back back to 17th now that nexus was gone and there was a major need for my abilities (among other reasons), so i was appointed new hsysop and !@#$%^&*umed dev coord, since it was my former job before i was fired. now, for those who dont know who Emblazon is, Emblazon is SNOo, SNOo is snake17, snake17 is snake200284. Im not a noob to 17th like the former hsysop was, ive been in 17th for nearly 6 years, and i actually play the zone, unlike our last numerous hsysops.

Just 'cause I didn't have enough time to lead it, pfft. Our first big victory was won in our first league (JWL) where we beat all the teams in the final.

 

That's Seraphim, Aera and Epion. All beaten by Feroce, back when there was still some compe!@#$%^&*ion left in this zone.

 

SO THERE! Aera might've won the league, but they didn't win the final match! Muahahah.

 

And the only reason we didn't have any chance to win the league was because I had to rebuild it from scratch after Aero and Ramz left it, so I recruited some leets and some nubs (including Vorp and Saty who LATER BECAME SUCH GOOD PLAYERS, I rock at rekrewting.)

 

So yeah, it wasn't a failed squad, we had lots of fun and we beat every good squad when their best rosters.

 

When 17th leagues come back to life and if they're worth playing, Feroce will be right up there kicking your !@#$%^&*es again.

Nurples knows that if someone tries to steal 17th from Mike, Mike can get it back whenever he wants to.

 

In other words, what you did didn't help anything, it just brought attention to 17th thanks to all the people who spread the news.

 

So no, anyone who could, wouldn't have done what you did, because it makes no difference, it does no lasting change and in the end only harms the zone.

i do agree that what he did turned out to not be a bad thing.. turned out to not be.. the idea was stupid, cuz all along i knew it wouldnt matter much tex. fortunately, him doing this did bring attention to the fact that nex neglected the bots which allowed this to happen in the first place.. im just glad shes gone from 17th. as long as im hsysop, she wont be back on it either. she never really did much to begin with. and tex, i didnt change it. in fact, i changed some other arenas that said "pernille" and "Mikethenose and pernille". she never owned anything. mike owns the zone, and he will probably til he dies or ss dies, whichever comes first. fortunately for everyone who plays 17th, staff is actually trying to revive the zone now, unlike for the past 3+ months..

I played the game for half hour - 1 hour, ONE night when it picked up.. and not been in map since... I just stayed in pm's talking to Nurples afterwards, which infact I went to TW to do.

I cut and ran, but who didn't, about 3 people who remained afk in the zone....Tiq, I think you were the only one to stay, I played dsb because there were actually people there to play with. If you're proud of staying behind and playing with yourself then ok....If ya did somethin to zone to bring people into the zone and play then good for you. But all I have to say is we can't start splitting ourselves up into 2 groups of people who stayed and people who cut and ran. It's a game, who cares who left and came back....The point is "now" and right now we need to attract more people into the game. And by doing that we need to make the zone a nice place to come and that means we can't be fighting with eachother, besides shootin at eachother in the game...

'cause there's so much glory left to claim in this zone. !@#$%^&*ing idiot, there hasn't been anything glorious in 17th since '02-'03 in my opinion, that's when the zone was most compe!@#$%^&*ive.

'02 was when the settings were still alright and '03 was when the leagues were still acceptable.

You hate the fact that you started playing after 17th was at its finest.

And for the record, I've been playing DSB since early '02 but I've always sticked to 17th.

This is a piece of sh1t hole compared to what it was, but it's still my home zone and I've always hoped that staff used its full potential, but they never did, and that was when I wanted 17th to die because all they did was give 17th a bad name.

 

You don't know how much I've done for 17th, you don't know how much I've tried to improve the development.

 

But BECAUSE of individuals like Zeke over there, who came in this zone and got promoted way before they were supposed to, without having to prove anything except being friends with Illum, and then !@#$%^&*ing left the zone 2 months later as if nothing after crying because of the amount of criticism they were receiving from players, there was nothing I could do because they wanted to be the ones to say "I did this, I did that."

 

Well, they !@#$%^&*ing got it. These were the same mother!@#$%^&*ers who barely even played the game, never even played a league.

They knew 0 about the gameplay, but they were high positioned staff members, so they could do whatever they wanted.

 

I lost all hope for 17th when I realized that those who saw 17th's potential were never allowed to use it to the fullest.

Because the only way that could be done was if they could work without restriction, wholeheartedly, to improve every aspect of the zone, and that wasn't possible.

 

So there you have it chump, a little lesson for you. If there's anyone you can't !@#$%^&*ing diss for being illoyal to 17th without looking like a god!@#$%^&* fool throwing bullsh1t comments just to start sh1t, it's me, and I don't need any one of you mothe!@#$%^&*ers to vouch for me or approve that I'm a vet or whatever, because to me, being a vet isn't about getting respected blindly just because of the !@#$%^&*le, it's not about how many leagues you've won or how long you've played.

It's about learning from past experiences, which a lot of people who call themselves vets don't even realize that they haven't.
