sHad0ws Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Bounty rabbit- when there is a reasonable population 5-6 you could host a public game bounty rabbit, first of all a mod prizes a random player with a very high bounty maybe 20,000 and he is now the bounty rabbit. the higher the bounty goes the more points/credits will get stored in a jackpot prize, (each time he kills a player his bounty will rise and so will the jp). the maximum time is 15 minuits each time there is a new rabbit and if the bounty rabbit does not get killed he wins all of the jackpot prize, bering in mine the rabbit has to kill 1 player every 120 seconds to stay rabbit. When he gets killed the killer will become the bounty rabbit and his bounty will rise and get prized super for 8 seconds. The mod can then send out public messages like this - Shad0ws (21056) is the bounty rabbit located at %coord mini powerball sub arena- a small map a goal end to end objective to score in opponents goal freq1 vs freq 2 first to score 5 goals wins, could prize credits to the winning side like 5 mill creds each
kick me!! Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Didn't we have the bounty rabbit a long time ago without the jackpot bonuses?
»SOS Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Mmmmaaaaayyybe. Lots of zones had it. It was never a good thing. Except sometimes
sHad0ws Posted July 22, 2006 Author Report Posted July 22, 2006 Well i like it and i think others would aswell. it is an event in public and there isnt much to do apart from flag kill, and base, what about KOTH in pub?
kick me!! Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 If you look on the other pages of this sub-forum, the KOTH topic has already been discussed. It was discontinued. If you wonder why, search for it, and read it!
»SOS Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 KOTH died for good reason Rabbit... there are two sides that I see problems with First, the implementation: It needs deva-specific branding. "Bountyrabbit" is very lame. Also, bounty is a weird and useless thing in Devastation. Finding an alternate "marker" would not be difficult, though. What would the reward be? Just some credits?Second, the idea: when and why should it be activated? Why should players start chasing one wabbit when they could instead be flagging or doing something more fun. It would seem that this might have some merit when population is low.
XDOOM Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 I doubt the rabbit is a good idea for the zone, considering its a flagging zone. I'm going to lock this topic, I think we should look into enhancing other portions of the main arena zone to add to the flagging experience ...
