ddaL Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 Be nice if we had a duel arena also it be nice if you could buy a item which refreshes all your specials, would be quite useful that Quote

Marioman Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Hi. I think i have very good advice on the things that have to be done. I think it would be cool to have a banking system in place, where if you have money in the bank it gains interest, also, n00bs could take out loans up to 20k to upgrade a ship. To encourage bank use we could have a ship recovery fee, where everytime som1 would die 10 dollars would be subtracted from the cash they have on hand. Also this would discourage ppl growing massive amounts of bounty by other ppl offering to let themselves be killed and splitting the rewards. There could be a bank 'safe' area too. Another thing could be ship upgrades given out as prizes, these could be prizes for duel tourney wins and wouldn't give too much of an advantage, like 85% energy, or fast mines from lev 1 to lev2, u know. yup, thats all, please discuss if this is good or it sucks. -Mario Quote
Bomook Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 There should never be interest. This will widen the gap between the rich and poor, and continuously inflate the economy, which, again will be of especial benefit to the rich. The loan system I like. Also, I kind of like the idea of losing money when you die, but of course this should start at $0 for people with little to no experience points, and scale upward from there, with an eventual cap, of course, or a logarithmic curve. Quote
Dr Brain Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 There will never be a bank, or any other system to "byp!@#$%^&*" the buildup phase. People think that it would be fun, but it'd just turn HS into any other zone, except with a complicated startup phase. Quote
Trained Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 I was thinking something like having a re-ship item for purchase. Something that resets your ships utilities. I think you guys get what im saying.. Quote
Stoked_07 Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 i dont like the loan system at all... it simply wont work.. and trained wtf did i just say like 4 posts ago lol Quote
Deathboy-evil Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Everything sounds good and all but everyone's choosing some of the most complicated suggestions to put down. We don't want the zone to be complicated and superly complex, we want it simple so the population can increase and more people can understand what their objectives are in each situation and what each item/special ability allows them to do. An example of one of the simple suggestions possible would be, Doc since their are more sensors that are being welcomed into the arena slowly, why don't you change the sensor count to 2 sensors but also enforcing a new rule to the system that one ship may not have anti and x-radar at the same time. Quote
13th Infantry Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 For some reason you people always want the zone weighted towards the rich with items like antideath (the lamest thing in all of SS) and now you want the rich to have unlimited utilities too. What needs to be done is to make the zone accessible to everyone. I still couldn't afford antideath on one ship if I wanted it and I actually have skill. What about people who are new to ss or the people who can't play for 10 hours a day. I have a decent ship and the rich still have an advantage over me so it definitely won't help them to make the rich even more powerful. Quote
Dr Brain Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Fair is boring. If you want fair, you're in the wrong zone. If you wan't fun, however, then you've come to the right place. Quote
