Guest Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 I do not understand banner's... How do you get banner's? How do you get banner on file? If you know please post it
Bargeld Posted October 16, 2003 Report Posted October 16, 2003 There are a few ways to have banners.1) Make your own. From the main menu of continuum, hit CTRL E, which will bring up a banner editor where you can draw them.2) Download banners from subspacedownloads.com. http://www.subspacedownloads.com/?id=banners If you have decided to download banners, you must place the .bmp files (the format of banners) into your Continuum/Banners/ directory. In order to set a banner in the game, make sure you are in spectator mode (ESC S) and then hit ESC B. This will bring up a window which lists all your banners. If you have a LOT of banners (for example you download a lot from subspacedownloads.com) then it will take a while for this screen to appear, and depending on the power of your computer, may appear to freeze your computer. If this happens you may wish to move some of the banners to a different directory, while leaving a smaller amount in the /banners directory. Sysop - SSCX Alpha West SVS

Bargeld Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 If you want to go that route, don't forget to apply the SS 256 color palette, and to save it as an 8 bit image. I didn't mention that option for a reason, I figured it was a more advanced topic which could simply cause confusion. So, Trunks, if this last option confuses you, don't worry about it, it won't yield better results than the built in banner editor in Continuum, it's just another (more difficult) way of making a banner. Darkflare Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 if you use paint you dont need to do anything special to it although the colors may be slightly off, but from my experience they wont be differnt vb.net> dark, why are you so cool?vb.net> MEN I LOVE THEM protoman.exe> i had sportsday at schhol a few yaers ago and i had to get out onto the filde and i was in the b-room and i took a quick piss and i crap my pants Will I choose rock, paper, or scissors? Bargeld Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 The continuum editor serves its purpose better than paint. Take advantage of the ez tools you are given. Sysop - SSCX Alpha West SVS
