candygirl Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 Every time I shutdown the game (continuum) my screen turns black. Then it goes back to my desktop. The game works ok until I shut it down. It just started doing this today.Any help would be nice.
»SOS Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 What exactly is the problem? It goes back to the desktop? Isn't that supposed to happen after closing the game?

»SOS Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 For a second? For a minute? Who cares if it turns black for a second

Bargeld Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 computers dont change based on the weather... you had to have done something that caused a change. What programs have you installed recently or driver updates, directx anything you can think of. Something had to have changed, what was it?
Bargeld Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 no offense, but I've been repairing computers for more than 8 years, and I've heard that an uncountable amount of times. Something changed. Whether it was a power outage, a porn web site, or a piece of freeware software that was installed... something happened. Find out what it was that happened and you can begin the repair process. As mentioned in your other post... beyond that, the only solution is a fresh format & re-install.
candygirl Posted May 19, 2006 Author Report Posted May 19, 2006 I looked at the application log to see if anything was showing up and found the log to be empty. I checked my C/ Drive and it tells me its healthy. I have yet to get any errors showing up on any logs I viewed on my PC.
Gravitron Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I must agree with Bargeld.Software, hardware, even an option check box somewhere in some third party application or the hardware acceleration slider in display settings, somethig has changed.Otherwise, no problem will occur. Retrace your steps in the past days between since you last played and when the problem commenced.Somewhere, you have done something or something happened.
candygirl Posted May 19, 2006 Author Report Posted May 19, 2006 It was nothing i did but it was something a had to do. I updated the processors drive and all is ok now.
