AstroProdigy Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I like it; it pokes fun at the government and sometimes points out good points, but at the same time doesn't claim to be a news channel and is actually funny. They make fun of the Democrats too so it's even .
X`terrania Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 The Daily Show has always had a special place in my heart, and the host is probably one of the best. Stewert did pretty good at the oscars, too; he had some good jokes like "Bjork could not be here - she was trying on her Oscar dress and !@#$%^&* Cheney shot her."
Yoink Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 I loved it when they pointed out that Rumsfeld had said, "We never knew where the weapons were," and "The weapons are around Tikrit." (Not exact quote). And then proceeded to show how "Republican for the sake of being republican" some people are.
AstroProdigy Posted May 15, 2006 Author Report Posted May 15, 2006 I liked when he showed Bush saying that we should deplete our oil reserves to save money and then shows him saying in his campaign that depleting our oil reserves to save money is irresponsible and is just catering to the upcoming election.
»Ducky Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 While I do enjoy the show for its humor factor, It has an obvious liberal slant. It's not 'gnerally even'.
AstroProdigy Posted May 17, 2006 Author Report Posted May 17, 2006 It can't be even. If it didn't make fun of the administration then there wouldn't be a show. Still they do point out good stuff once in a while in all their jokes.

Still they do point out good stuff once in a while in all their jokes. Typical liberal.
AstroProdigy Posted May 17, 2006 Author Report Posted May 17, 2006 It's even based on representation of who's making the decisions. It's hard to make fun of the party that isn't in charge. If the Democrats were in charge they'd make fun of them and the republicans less than them. Besides I never said they make fun of the democrats just as much. Why should they it's less material. Lighten up lear and stop looking for any little thing in the words to descredit me .
Aileron Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 Well, I agree that it does seem to have a bit of liberal bias, but that is indeed mostly due to both the Republicans being dominant as well as the Democratic Party's complete and total lack of leadership and a policy. Its simply impossible to poke fun of someone who doesn't have a plan. I usually don't watch that show though...I like to stick to Sci-Fi and Discovery Channel.
AstroProdigy Posted May 18, 2006 Author Report Posted May 18, 2006 Yeah the Democrats suck...Do you watch Stargate Aileron?
Spyed Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 The daily show, quite possibly the worst TV show I've ever seen.
AstroProdigy Posted May 27, 2006 Author Report Posted May 27, 2006 Let's watch FOX News that's the funniest show ever.
