Connection to server lost

I keep getting this error message and I dont know what to do. It was working fine this morning and the servers seem to be up. Ive also turned off all my antivirus stuff just in case it was screwing with my connection. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your playername doesn't start with an odd character... it should start with a letter or number (with a few exceptions).
