A.SSC Zone making

1.Subspace/continuum gives you the abilty to make you own zone, there are few st a.read http://www.shanky.com/server/howto-zone/index.html to learn how to setup a zone.

c.Now you get your gfx and your sfx and your plan together.

d.work on your map

B.Getting Hosted by SSC

1.What is a hoster

a.A person that takes your zone files and run your zone on their computer

2. A Council comes to your zone and look at it, maybe even a hoster.

a. number one rule never ever ask a host to host your zone, unless they are telling you to do it (hosting advertisment)

b.Best way to get on the network is to have your zone organized, if its not organized, hosters will see that

and that is your 1 shot gone, from that point it would be hard, because hosters will think, its the same as last time they went there.

C.Making Council

1.Best Way

a.Best way to make council is to be active, supportive and patient, what I mean by that is, time is the essence and if other councils see you are a active supportive person then they will watch you, then a couple of months, maybe a year maybe more, maybe less, if you show good proformance they will see that and you are a big success.

Please use the enter key and spacebar after labels. It looks like one big glop of text.

This stood out as I scrolled down:

Now the last thing you need to set is the Directory:NameP!@#$%^&*word. Feel free to set this to a random string again, because only a few directory servers even use this.
There is no need to change the NameP!@#$%^&*word, just leave it as it comes in server.zip, whatever that may be. Also there is only one directory server.

you g2 be stupid to read that whole text !@#$%^&*...

in short (with some add's):

- Keep zone organised.

- Use of bots will improve the zone to.

- NEVER ask for hosts.

- Get a good and organised staff.

- Use lvz, a nice map and some balanced and original settings.

For some more tips.. feel free to post your questions...

-It's spelled Guidlines lol

-Every reading this forums knows you can create various zones

-your map usually gets priority over LVZ's considering that you NEED a map, but you dont need lvz.

-You dont get hosted by SSC. SSC is a biller that connects various servers (SSCC, SSCI, SSCX, SSCB). Those are what you get hosted by.

-Most "hosters" run zones files off a server (with the exception of some small, non-ssc servers)

-A council comes to your zone? The council is an exclusive group that mainly just deals with matters of ssc. They are not going to come to every zone that tries to get hosting on a ssc-server.

-By all means ask people for hosting. Saying don't ask is mainly for noobs becuz server owners don't want to be bothered by a million requests over and over.

-Uhh, don't even start on that topic. You're not getting on the council unless you have been playing for 5+ years, have extensive experience running a zone, server, biller, coding, etc.
