And actually, it sort of was France's hobby to invade England...the Norman invasion is what historians consider to be the beginning of the Renaissance.
That was the 1066 invasion by William The Conquerer on an England that was still a farming community and nowhere near a European Power. I'm talking about the thousand years since then. Other than the 1066 invasion what examples do you have that it was France's hobby?

As for Germany-France i think the Napoleonic Invasion followed by France's aggression to start the Franco-Prussian War were enough to warrant Germany crushing France like a snail-s!@#$%^&* in 1870-71. Up until Prussia became a powerful state France was content to let them exist. As soon as France saw Prussia becoming a power-house they tried to initiate a war with uncomprimising demands and lost miserably.

Italy has always hated France... i remember what each nation called the Black Death. The French called it the Italian Plague and the Italians called it the French Plague.

"Take the case of a security contracting company which provides non-firearm carrying security personelle to business and persons. A 5 foot tall mega_shok.gif lb woman who has no extrordinary martial arts skills shows up looking for a job. If the owner doesn't hire her, he takes a PR hit for discriminating in the workplace. If the owner does and has her protect a client, its worse though, because any attacker can overpower the guard and do what he wants to the client anyway, costing the company a reputation to its clients, who are the people they serve."

An extremely oversimplified case comparison which is false in itself. The Security Contracting Company would not get sued for this. In any case, you make it seem like all of France's hope was put on the Belgian military.

You oversimplify the problems countries have had with France. Germany's big problem with France was that France was forcing Germany to pay ridiculously high reparations.

Italy had a problem with France because in World War I, the Allies betrayed Italy and did not give them what they promised for helping in World War I.

Incase you didn't notice, England fought for France in World War II, so this old Napoleonic War analogy has no sound basis.

Spain hates France for a ridiculous conflict of kings hundreds of years ago? That's ridiculous, neither country even has kings anymore.

How can it be France's hobby to invade England? Normandy, only a small part of what we today call France invaded England a thousand years ago and since then there has been no successful invasions of England.

Well, Spain is still a monarchy, but basically I agree with the sentiment of SeVeR and Astro. I'm not so sure we can really say that any European country 'hates' France, but there are both historical and contemporary reasons why France is maligned.

Spain is still a monarchy? Or is it a cons!@#$%^&*utional monarchy?
According to the CIA factbook, the full name of Spain is "The Kingdom of Spain". It is a parliamentary monarchy. It has a cons!@#$%^&*ution.

Well England only allied with France because Germany was the aggressor. It was Poland who England were technically allies with. England ended up on the same side as France because of Germany's invasion of Poland. It was the old bloodbath formula of war whereby you can't let one side get too powerful.

Germany and England have traditionally been allies and in both World Wars the Germans wanted us as allies up until we declared war on their fascist regimes. Germany always really were our friends but just came under the wing of war-mongering dictators a couple of times leaving us with no choice but to balance up the odds to stop one nation conquering the whole of Europe.

France have typically been the enemy of England for a thousand years and they've always been the enemy of Germany since Germany got organised into a European power. Of course in modern times we're all too liberal to hate.
