I have a Speedtouch 330 external modem that's plugged into the back of my PC through USB.

I have been using this modem for about a year but yesterday it started to crash my PC, I know its not the USB ports because i have plugged other USB devices into it and the PC works fine. I am using that same modem now on another PC and it's working fine.

I was told to reinstall the software so I done that and instead of my PC crashing, it restarts the PC instead. I've started the PC without the modem in and plugged it in when its booted up but it still does the same thing.

I'm lucky if the PC loads while its booting up with the modem plugged in. I done scans for stuff and virus checks, delete temp internet files and I still havent had any luck.

Anyone know of any solutions? I am thinking of getting a wireless modem, anyone know if they are ok?

And it might also very likely be either the motherboard or the USB port that is fauly. "Another device works there" means nothing.

Still, try some other drivers, yes.
