Anyone ever listen to music while going to sleep?

I use to listen to music while before and during sleeping but then I wouldn't fall asleep anymore so I just listen to music before I go to sleep and then turn it off and go to sleep.

Except not long ago when I came home from the club totally wasted and put on my Makaveli CD. I remember hearing like 1-2 songs and then falling asleep with the music going on.

What do you listen to before going to sleep? (If you do.)

Sleep by the Dandy Warhols is a good one.... naturally. Classical music is also good. Almost anything by Chopin works because he does the best gentle piano music.

I wonder if listening to music affects the dream state? I always seem to get outside noises affecting my dreams because i usually sleep until about 2pm. Its certainly an interesting subject because it may become possible to completely manipulate a persons dreams based on external noise...

I've heard that listening to music while sleeping isnt very good for sleep... because there would be a part of the brain that would not really sleep while still 'listening' to the music.. or something.. might be BS tho

Don't be ignit. Tell me what makes classical music so special? It's old? People used to listen to it a lot? Don't get me wrong, I like classical, but I don't feel it has any super powers just cause people in the 1500's would listen to it.

i just take like, the amount you would put in the cap if you're really sick. do that whenever you start gettin ready for bed, and i'm usually pretty drowsy when i get in bed...although i'm starting to think it might be more psycological than anything else...

i might try that, for now i'll stick to smokin at the end of my "getting ready for bed" time.

anyway, been listening to The Shins lately to sleep

I've never started sleeping to any music, but if I would had I'd probably sleep well. Not with high volume on music ofcourse.
