Guest brainy Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I've been having trouble with my bullet sounds for a while now and no one seems to be able to figure out why. The thing is, i'm at dsb, and my bullets will quit making sounds alltogether after a couple seconds to a minute. All other sounds work, like repel, bombs, rockets etc. I've tried re downloading the sound.dll but that hasnt helped, even re downloaded the bullets, same problem. I've fiddle around with main menu and nothing's worked, the sound quality is on default btw. Could it be my sound card is the reason for it or what?
Bargeld Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Yes, the sound card or it's drivers.

Yoink Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Just curious, are you using Realtek AC'97? I augmented my sound file - made it twice as long, so for each bullet, you get two sounds. They overlapped well enough so that the only time you'd notice is when you stop shooting, you hear the sound of one more bullet. Is it only with one bullet particular level of bullets (in Redstar, level one guns would go out)? In that case, just duplicate the sound file of a different level guns' and overwrite the one that is giving you problems.
Guest Guest Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 I got SoundMax Digital Audio, came with the pc..i dont have the same problem as you, my thing is the bullets start off sounding normal when i enter a zone, and just fade away after a couple seconds then are completely soundless after a minute or two, heh =/

Hmm... Try changing the sound file and see if it helps.
»SOS Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 You can also try changing the sound quality in the Continuum options.
