The Apache Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I have read other threads about their problems with packetloss, but the solutions aren't explained properly to me.If you can, may I have a step by step guide on how to fix this packetloss. (Like, screenshots and stuff to help me)I am on a Linksys router, but with a Belkin 54g Card. Trace screenshot is attached.
»SOS Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Well, first of all: you can't fix it. All you can do is wait until it goes away. Looks like the packetloss is coming from your ISP but also maybe some other route down the road is contributing as well. A really really really big trace might help track down the problem more specifically, but it all comes down to this: There's nothing you can do. Just wait.
The Apache Posted December 29, 2005 Author Report Posted December 29, 2005 I see. How long can packetloss occur for?
XDOOM Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I see. How long can packetloss occur for? Might go away faster if you !@#$%^&* at your ISP (or at least make them aware of the problem).
»SOS Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Yes, might go away faster if you complain. However, I once had packetloss for over 3 months... so... it can be bad.
The Apache Posted December 30, 2005 Author Report Posted December 30, 2005 Well, it seems that it has gone now. Thanks for the help anyway.
