  1. The third round of S33 approaches, and just when everyone thought this season of league couldn't get any better, team Sterling had been called forth and summoned by captain Seismic to rid once more, all the bad squads that ever dares step foot into Pro League. But, I digress. And here are the nominees for this week's matches: ALPHA REUNION vs UNHALLOWED AR returns from an intense and rather entertaining show of 4v4 spaceships last week. This team, now high in morale as they had slain the Gods 9-7. Unhallowed on the other hand had fallen yet again, this time to the Assassins 12-6. This will be AR's first true test to see whether they belong in AML or the bracket above. Unhallowed, currently facing a problem with only having a four man deep roster, they'll either need to recruit for more depth or people will have to step up in the near future. Unhallowed will take this game. Even if by some miracle Unh played one man short, they would still be expected to win 3v4. Outcome will be Unhallowed 12-5. FTNGUYEN vs STARFIRE ELITE The defending champs vs the squad that lost to the new and improved Llamas last week. Hopefully this game will last long enough for repels to be burned on both sides and not just one. This match shouldn't last longer than 15 minutes. FTNguyen 12-2. LLAMAS vs REQUIEM This will be match will be held in the arena with most, if not all of the spectators. The most offensive roster ever for Llamas vs the first team to have defeated team Dre. I could see this as a back and forth action amongst both squads, but in the end, Sika will prevail. How strong are Llamas this season? We shall see soon enough this coming Sunday. Huge stalemate at the start, but ends with Requiem 12-6. ASSASSINS vs SHOCKTECH Shocktech obtaining much experience so far. However, Assassins 12-0. NUKE vs STERLING First debut match for Sterling, and it's against team Dre. I nominate this match for Match of the Week. Team Sterling assembled, although their roster looks small--but assembled nontheless. mAImER returns to Sterling from FTNguyen, DJ Life Cray also makes a return, and 9-Volt was also picked up. Will the prac kings from Nuke be able to bounce back from last week's defeat? Good news is, Sterling won't have a Sika to stop Nacre. Sterling 12-9 REBELS vs GODS This match might also prove to be worth watching. Interesting to see how Gods react to last week's performance. If AR was a tough match for them last week, Rebels will be ten times worse. Hopefully the BYE round won't affect Rebels too much, as this match should be theirs for the taking. Providing that both Gods and Rebels play well, the match should end up being close and intense. Rebels 12-8
  2. First and foremost, round 2 is finally here. And from what I can tell, a wonderful season this might turn into. Round 2 looks pretty....well, interesting. Starting off with two matches where people wouldn't really care to watch, then followed by a match spectator worthy, and for the finale - a match you'd definitely not want to miss out on. ALPHA REUNION vs GODS This will be the first test for Gods to see whether they belong in the AML bracket or beyond. Alpha Reunion will aim to bounce back from a first round loss to Assassins, 12-2. On the bright side of things, AR managed to last ten minutes against Ass', and that's quite impressive for an unknown team's first debut game. Gods on the other hand well, one word comes to mind: inactivity. These guys aren't new to the league scene, but they also haven't played in over four years time. Would be a miracle if they could even field four onto the battlefield this coming Sunday. Let's see how well they mesh together in their first match against frankly, the best debut match Gods could ever hope for in Season 33. Seeing as how Gods were both AML and IML champs in the past, while AR is a relatively new team under the radar, Gods should be able to take this game 12-6. FTNGUYEN vs SHOCKTECH Well, not much can or should be said about this match. I'd be SHOCK'd if they'd even get two kills off the asians. So..... 12-2. But then again, they did get 12-0'd by Llamas last week. On a sidenote, I do sincerely hope that Shocktech pulls through with this season and even return for the next. Perhaps even more newer teams would be formed and AML could even possibly be revived in the future. One can still dream..... But yeah, 12-2. LLAMAS vs STARFIRE ELITE Llamas started off the season with a flawless victory over Shocktech, whereas SFE got crushed in round 1 to Nuke. By comparing rosters alone, Llamas have by far the more superior one. I've ran through many possible scenarios that could happen in favor for SFE, but it's just not possible in my opinion. This match will end with the score of 12-5. ASSASSINS vs UNHALLOWED This match will most likely end up with Unh being pushed all around the map by the Stacked'ssassins. Depending on who shows up and plays for Unh, the match could be....somewhat...close? The starting line up for Unh will almost HAVE to be Death Artist, Fedu, Nadai and cfl. But seeing as how three of the four players mentioned haven't even been on in two days or more...makes me believe the match score should not even come close. 12-5 for Assassins. NUKE vs REQUIEM In my opinion, the match of the week goes to Nuke vs Requiem. Nuke's roster is utterly amazing in terms of individual talent and raw firepower. But Requiem also has Sika, which could work both ways for and against Requiem I suppose. HG has finally re-entered the world of the spaceships so I'm pretty certain this season will turn into a rather lively one. I could see this game being a close one if Nuke does not start their all-star line up. Therefore the final score for this match up will be boldly predicted as 12-8 with Nuke coming on top. Let the good times roll.
  3. oops, misread A1 graphic
  4. First and foremost, why is this game still alive? Good job everyone, Pro League has somehow managed to stay alive and last to Season 33. So far this season started off with a great start, and by great I don't mean only having 10 squads participating. Theoretically speaking, this season would have had 12 squads in total, with the additions of Nemeses and Gods. However due to some unknown factors, Nemeses decided to dissolve on the very same day they joined league. Now let's see who we have playing this time around: ASSASSINS An obvious title contender yet again, pretty much a no brain'er there. Let's see who we have on their roster as of Round 1: - Develop, Mop, Neo, Teddy, bhang, Jake, Kdak, Macuto, mr. penguin, Ossi, Retroaction, the seven year itch, traxx and varsity Interesting, apparently Sterling broke up and merged with Assassins. Well that's a damn shame. Can't really see how this team can possibly NOT win this season, they are stacked to the teeth! But let's give them the benefit of the doubt that some of their pilots may be rusty from not playing a couple years. The most active pilots so far seem to be Develop, Kdak, Macuto, traxx, varsity, Retroaction and the seven year itch. However.... $10 says that Jake won't be playing all season long and yet be started in the Finals anyway. LLAMAS These animals don't seem to go fully extinct! It's good to see that Llamas are still around, but by no means are they the same as once before. We will surely miss those days of the 40 mins defensive lob play that they excelled at. - Street Fighter, babaloo, Cycl0ne, hedcase8, Jamuraan, JOCKER, Odin, Parabola, Pension, Preator (lost his name? lul), Psyanide, Shikaa, twIsta, and wado kai Yeeeaahhh....this team won't be lobbing till the cows come home. Be interesting to see how far this team will go in season 33. They've got strong pilots, but me senses be tingling and I don't think they be strong enuff. Who knows, tactics > individual play right? Perhaps Llamas will have something special up their sleeves. NUKE Oh this be a new team! Headed by........DRE ?!?!?! - Dre, Enforcer, 2, Blink, Da_Monkk, DDay, ice2702, Makron, Nacre, ro, saiyan Jeezus, dat line up. This squad consists of the most active pracstats champions of 2013. A combination of pro league championship ringers (Enforcer, Blink, Da_Monkk, Nacre and saiyan) mixed in with a couple unfamiliar but individually decent players (ice2702, Makron). I am excited to watch Nuke play week after week. I give this team the E-boner Award. REQUIEM Requiem makes a return, huge. These seem to be practicing rather actively, as they have many layers of rust to shake off. Will they be able to regain enough composure to be competitive? We shall see. - Candyman, Ozn, Three, Aquitas, Arctos, Durabolin, High Gain, homie, Motorzep, Sika, SmurtraTerrestrial, treachen I wonder how active Requeim will be for this season. Will they see through till the very end or will they disband before then?! Requiem be the only potential top contending team with the highest ratio of inactivity. FTNGUYEN The two-time reigning defending champions of Pro League. The team that has four captains, all which started and played in both previous finals as well. Apparently the other pilots on roster are only needed to get through regular season. - Hibachi, KiNGNeWBiE, N00dlez, The Village Bike, 7th, Caerbannog, DarkDenizen, krellin, Legacy, mAImER Why isn't caerbunny on Llamas?! Why isn't mAImER on Assassins along with the other Sterling peoplez?! Inconceivable!! How does this team do so well season after season? What are their secrets! Another team definitely worth spectating every Sunday. ALPHA REUNION Another new squad has entered Pro League! Welcome welcome, please enjoy your stay and hopefully you guys will be coming back for more. - Hallowed. , Mighty Sven, ugly duckling, BadLamb, Foad, FUEGO, mad cobra, Nude For Satan, PsyOps, Snusen84, t|tle|st, Umgan A definite contender in the AML bracket. Can't say i recognize any of these names, but I'm glad they are here. Will be a fun season for them to flesh things out together as a team. SHOCKTECH Another unfamiliar squad name in the mix. I have no idea what to write about you guys, sorry. - Amphitheater, alphawing@work, Dbz, ensure, Grower, lagoon, muggy, nicedreams, pocho, sawyer, siren, Succeed, Tit Man, wagon Well, judging by alphawing being on the roster, be a safe assumption to make that Shocktech be an EG based squadron? AML should be pretty fun this season, and I predict Tit Man to carry this team to victory. STARFIRE ELITE SFE is still around! Awesome'ness! Let's see who plays for these guys. - MfA, Solar Hydro, Something Dutch, a suicidal dentist, Ankh, gold teeth, INRI, Joe Jr. , Kobe, Mauler, Medicus, Pehkle, Plutorus, scubie This team will most likely be battling it out in the AML division along with Shocktech and Alpha Reunion, with SFE coming out on top considering these guys aren't AML calibre players. REBELS Cool, Rebels are still alive. Should be a fun season for these guys. Every match will be challenging unless they knocked down into the AML bracket. - pse, Ra, BARBARIAN, Boltage, Captor, Dagger, Eric Clapton, Euripedes, gato, Jones, Psycho Psematic, Riverside, Supreme This squad had an unfortunate first round against Requiem. It's debatable who would have actually won if PP had not blown 2 lives in 1:17 into the match. Captor is a huge damage beast for Rebels, along with BARBARIAN's clutch spider play, I can see this team go far. But as of now, Rebels will be fighting with Unhallowed for the last spot in playoffs. UNHALLOWED A familiar squad name with only a couple familiar names on roster. - Death Artist, Fedu, nadai, cfl, Fre0n, Lynx, peabrain, Pharaffin, The Unholy, thor, voodoo, zoldan- I view this team as having only two options: 1) become last place in Pro League, or 2) champions of AML. Ok, maybe that's not true...they could muster up a formiddable starting line up with cfl, Nadai, Death Artist and peabrain, along with voodoo and Fedu as solid subs. But who knows..... Curious to see how mid season will turn out.....until next time!
