Fixed . I apologize for any inconvenience caused by the down time. props to CypherJF for figuring out the root of the problem !

Yes, it is. But seldom does it come down to that

I agree on making private freqs smaller, but I think public freqs are fine. During peak hours of the day, this will definitely promote more compe!@#$%^&*ive flagging. Veterans can still have fun playing together during other times when the public freqs don't have so many people.

An interesting idea, but I think the cost would have to be a lot more than normal bricks, and/or perhaps some other factors, as it would be easily abusable (as if normal repels aren't technically already). Seeing it limited to some ships would also help diversify niches.

zomg wtf Swift. You deadbeat; didn't even show up to the convention

Yeah, the window in my room actually faces Ambler-Johnston. I heard the gunshot earlier this morning, but other than that, it's very safe in Pritchard.

I miss Cerebral the most. Under that, it's picano, Nucko, HypnoticKirby, Coenny, Siaon, and a noob.

Yes, I agree. It often can, but like Masaru said, it can't really be changed. Staff are inherently going to know the longtime veterans better than any given newbie who just entered the zone for the first time. For the record, I'm not referring to rich people when I say "veterans", I'm referring to players who we know to some degree. So if a player who has a history of being honest and rule-abiding reports something, yes I'll treat that with more weight than a counterargument Joe Noobie says. I do have many veteran friends who I am aware are not that respectable or honest, and I don't take their word any more seriously than those from newbs who I don't know (in some cases, less seriously than that of newbies.) It's not always obvious when abusers/lamers/cheaters get fined, banned, or otherwise punished. But this doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. We are aware of most everything that goes on in the zone, but some serious things, such as cheating, require solid proof before action may be taken. In fact, two cheaters under investigation (who were initially reported by "vets", not weak people) were banned earlier today. Reporting something to staff shouldn't be seen as tattle-taling to your grade school teacher, if that's what you were implying. If there is a problem, by all means, please let us know. I'm not trying to blow off your complaint, however. I have heard several complaints that certain staff members are not enforcing rules and not being helpful, and I do care about this greatly. However, my view on the issue is that it's only one or two black sheep out the good flock, not the entire flock gone astray. Thank you for your opinions and input, and feel free to continue expressing them.

blotting (Northern, Southern, and Western blotting are all techniques used in microbiology)

I totally agree with you there, that gameplay matters a lot more than graphics. The other thing that really sucks about all the focus on graphics is that games' production values are skyrocketing, preventing creative small-time developers from getting off the ground. A lot of games back in the day were so much fun. Does anybody remember X-Com UFO Defense? or X-Wing vs TIE Fighter? Personally, I do agree that consoles do almost everything better than PC's. The only exception are online games and first-person shooters (I think it's stupid to try to aim with a joystick). I bought SLI 7900 GTX's which were top-of-the-line a little over half a year ago for about $900, and while they're not quite obsolete, they're far from the best - in just 7 months. Also it depends how nerdy someone is . I'm an ardent gamer, so I was willing to fork over the money to be able to play F.E.A.R. or whatever games on maximum settings, but I can understand others paying less than half the amount for a similar experience.

Are you sure it's actually semiwarp burners? Retro rockets are really overpowered on a spider, giving them the same maneuverability as javelins and sharks. It still looks like they jump around on your screen, but they don't move quite as fast.
-
of course not, but "Tunnel Engines" don't sound as cool
-
Has no one noticed me laming in the center with semiwarp burners on a tacnuke terrier? I think the Semiwarp burners are much like the Salvo. While not underpowered, they're not used for what they're supposed to (movement and attack, respectively) but are still useful because of other reasons. Personally I think the name should be changed to "particle accelerator", but other than that, I think the Semiwarp burners are fine.

Genius. We totally need someone like on staff!

I agree with you. I have tried several "solutions" in the past, none of which I am particularly pleased with. I have been tweaking different things, however the problem isn't making the terrier "balanced", it's making it "balanced" while, at the same time keeping its role as a "jack of all trades" or superiority fighter. Keep in mind that Hyperspace is constantly growing. I already have ideas underway on an overhaul to fix the terrier (and shark, for that matter ), but this will take some time to implement.
