this has been in the news in the UK for a few days now. Sickens me every time I read about it. The wife, street, no one apparently knew about it, it was so secretly done it took this long for anyone to know what was happening. It is times like this I guess you truly get something to show you just how evil some people can be.

probably, though doing 20 miles less in your car will save you some fuel and get you fit so it is all worth it.

simple solution is buy a bike. In many cities it is actually a quicker way around. Bike beat car, boat and public transport when they tested it on top gear in london

No. I read articles from both sides, decide what I do and do not believe then make a decision based upon the combined information from that process. TBH much of my opinion is based here on what the individual candidates stand for and what they have said and done over the course of their campaigns.

no i think things will be better. From the coverage I get over here I would prefer Obama over Clinton. The Democratic candidates seem to have a better position on things like foreign policy and healthcare and so that's why if I was an American my vote would go that way.

yeah the tax is a lot of the price but the reason it is risng so fast is the price of oil. The tax does accelerate the increace and has increaced slightly but tax is not the root cause of the general upward trend.

we do get a lot of tax but the reason its high is much the same as the reason its high for you guys. Fuel costs have gone through the roof recently here and continue to rise rapidly. The price of oil is high and its not going to get any better. If you want to save money get more efficient cars (9 miles to the gallon cars are rarely found in the UK). I'm just glad I don't need a car where I am, I can cycle around here faster then I could drive or take the bus.
