  1. Was having the issue described here as well http://www.subspace.co/topic/23863-continuum-wont-remember-my-resolution/ Disabling UAC didn't solve it for me though (using Windows 8.) After a lil' bit of troubleshooting I discovered that checking the Show Default Resolutions option solved it for some reason.
  2. Hah! Yup. Thanks dude.
  3. It all depends a lot on the shipset, and your perception will usually be based on where you started playing. For example, Fatrolls here just gave a pretty inaccurate description of DSB, but he's from TW so maybe that's just how it feels for him. My favorite dogfighter ship will always be the 17th Parallel Jav. The attributes of that ship makes the battles so dynamic where you have to be smart about how you go about attacking, because it's much harder to just kami than in DSB for example. damn makes me wanna bring 17th back. owell.
  4. doesn't seem to work? asked someone else and no session.log was created for them either even tho the response of ?log is; Log file open: session.log I remember having a similar problem with Vista, I've been logging every session since 2003. I need my logs man! Any ideas? Actually I'm not sure if the files are being created or if I just can't see them for some reason. Vista had that weird shit. If the file wasn't created it shouldn't say "log file open", it should give an error if I remember correctly.
  5. That would be cool, thanks.
  6. just to let yall know I haven't given up on this, i've just been really busy irl already edited the music for the intro of the show need commentators for hz and premier 4vs4 but i'll look more intensely when i have time c u soon
  7. btw Caer, if you know anyone in Premier with radio commentary experience (or just someone who'd be good) who's still around, plz let me know!
  8. ARGH. missed it. Make a 2v2 league plz!!
  9. good idea. i tried to, but you have to download apps to broadcast on those. the adobe app requires video input apparently. this "xsplit" app requires that you register. tried that as well but got an error. then you also have to configure the apps. it's a pain. on ustream you just need to press "Go Live" and then "Broadcast" and it's up and running.
  10. Thanks Polix. I might just use ustream for now. I tested it today and it seemed good enough.
  11. It's that time again - someone comes along saying they're going to make a SubSpace radio. This is something I've been wanting to do since around 2003-2004 when I first hosted 17th Radio... I'm going to do it to play around with my new mixer mostly, for practice... and fun of course. There's no big plans or anything. The idea is old. I was a big fan of Trench Center for those who remember that (Get on your Karma Horse!!!, mount it!!) I want to do something similar. I realize most people don't really care about radio anymore, and that's OK. I'll record each show anyways so people who happen to be interested can download. I have some old voice chat material that I've gathered through the years that I'd like to broadcast too. If anyone is interested in contributing - with skits, match commentary, anything... just let me know. I think I'll need a good server kuz I live in South America
  12. and now i have to wipe my screen. fffuuu
  13. They should have banned you a long time ago. all you do is troll and annoy ppl all day long. Maybe this particular ban and specific reason wasn't just, but they have a million other reasons to ban you anyways. And no, nobody needs liito's permission, they were already given that right. You were asking for it dewd. Or maybe your subconscious was... "must... get out..." Go outside, get a life. You say yourself you don't have one . They did you a favor.
  14. Bit of a misquote there. That was you talking about me, not me saying that >=)
  15. As much as I loved the old 17th gameplay, I realize that we need something new to spark interest in most players. What we have in mind is a different type of balling, connected with flagging (rather than the old school gameplay where those were 2 different objectives in the game.) Most of the ships will be the old ones. Only a few have been modified to go with the map, which itself is inspired by (though very different from) the old North vs. South map. My intentions was always to base the gameplay on the original theme. The type of battles themselves should be the same but fought in a new map. I don't want to go into much detail about the gameplay until it's finished and presented properly though. I was always in favor of the old gameplay (you know this Kai which is why this is based on it.
  16. Hi, We're looking for active coders who can code for ASSS. Preferably experienced ones, but if not and you know what you're doing then that's ok too. This is a serious project by dedicated folks, so if you want to contribute we need you to be dedicated as well. And I'm not talking about having to do 2 hours of coding a day. Just as much as you can based on gameplay needs and our minimum progress requirements. We have the vast majority of the project outlined and just need to start mixing up the map(s) with the yet-to-be-written codes. If you're able and interested in working with creative ideas, just contact Samapico or myself here or in-game. Some info: This overall project will involve more than just a new pub. We will work to modernize our classic events and already have new ones finished except for the coding and graphics part (which is the case with the new pub as well.) It will also involve reaching out to our former players which we're still in contact with both in SS and outside, as well as an additional advertising campaign (basically just begging irl friends to play... yeah.) We will also create a new website which will interact with the zone itself. We also have other pending projects which depend on the initial one. Basically, this is a long term effort to bring the zone back to life. 17th still has a lot of old players and fans that want to see the zone rise again. This is testament to the gameplay quality that our zone represents, considering the years it's been inactive. Regards.
  17. I used to check every couple of months too (used to check in like once a week.) But now I'll be stopping by a lot more often . . .
  18. Never liked it to be honest, but I know a lot of people who do, so this is good ;D I'll let them know it's back up.

Okidoki. Let me know when you're back so we can discuss the epically amazing 17th comeback project.
  24. I have a pretty large catalog of 17th files from '03 onwards (472 objects in my stored folder alone). I wish I had the Aces squad hall though ):
  25. I'd prefer some down time once or twice a year over higher ping, which DSB gets compared to every other zone in SubSpace. Maybe it's more noticeable for us who're pretty far away from the server.
