Trauma

Over the years I've tried to get people to play it. I used to find Alpha was a good intro zone. I think if the game was introduced to people with just Alpha available to them. And as they got more points other zones opened up to them I think it would draw more people into the game. I think if people are willing to look past the interface they will see how amazing the game really is. But like most games it's about the people as well, and this whole old school mentality of bashing newbies instead of helping them kill games. It's sad. Oh well, t'is life.

Sad but true.

Yeah, I went in game a few times and asked some questions. Either everybody was afk or just couldn't be bothered to answer. It's kind of a shame. The community is what helps a game grow. Hopefully some of these new clients I see in progress can breathe life into the game again. I like checking in on it every few years just to make sure it's still alive. Looking pretty dire this time around.

Fixed it. Had a program called PeerBlock on my computer. I had shut it down but apparently the process was still running on my computer. As soon as I ended the process the rest of the zones showed up.

I'm able to connect to many servers but I'm unable to connect to 6. The one's I can't connect to are SSCX Chaos/League Zone SVS, SSCX PowerBall, SSCX Star Warzone, SSCX Extreme Games, SSCU Trench Wars, and SSCU Extreme Games. The last one looks like a test zone. When I add them from the Server List I see that there's people in there. But when they are in my zone list they show as red all the way across. No ping, no players. If I try running a Trace in-game it just goes between Hop 1 and Hop 2 with IP Address and Host Name just having information of ... in them. If I try running a traceroute in Windows to 66.235.184.102 (SSCX Chaos/League Zone SVS) I receive a General Failure. I will try using a different computer and try bypassing my router as a test. Later today I'll try using a different persons internet to see. Hmm, I should try tethering to my cell phone as a test as well. My guess is that it's a routing problem on the Internet. But thought I'd post here in case somebody else had an idea. Thanks!

Nice to see old names on that list. I thought maybe the game was done for. I tried adding SSCX Chaos/League Zone SVS but seems dead as hell sadly. Guess I'll try coming back at a reasonable time and see what's working then.

In for the nostalgia. Where the hell is everybody who even remembers a newbie like me?
