  3. we thought that too. infantry/cosmic rift (SoE) was supposed to be just that and in a way it was. but the gameplay was clunky and crazy un-intuitive. most everyone who made the switch ultimately went back to ss. THIS EDITING SHIT SUCKS BALLS AND DOESN'T WORK CR was ok, but the movement always felt slightly off. Then the balancing against the multi-ships was never right, and then they said they would use different ship settings for different zones or whatever they were called. At that point I snapped and quit. Lack of consistant gameplay between zones is something that I have always hated, and still hate with SS. But atleast with SS you can easily avoid those zones, unlike CR where it got to the stage that it started to feel that it was forced onto you.

  5. Ah, noticed your thread a little late. Perhaps the site could have a funding level meter for domain renewal/hosting that people can donate into during the year. This way it comes as no shock since you have a funding level and date. You can also freeze additional payments so that the pot does not get too big so people know it's not being abused.

  9. I just looked for that Mythbusters article and saw the video. They did not answer the question at all. 1) Why did the plane move faster than the conveyer belt? Surely, that is generating it's own airflow and negating the original question. 2) What was the wind direction and speed relative to the aircraft at the time of the experiment?

I guess that the amount of mines being set to 12 would have also be linked to team sizes since back then it would have been rare to have 4 teams with 1 person per team. So now you will have a potential 48 mines placed instead of what would essentially have been 24 mines due to the now flexed team sizes. Applying x mines per person would take away the whole point of it being a team. If you do not want to play as part of a team then go on your own private team. Teammates are there to play along with and not there to have less people to run away from! I would say that the amount of mines should now be flexed based on population. However my reasoning, unlike some, is not to annoy the long term players but to help any new player into the zone during low populations. I highly doubt they would stick around for long when every time they find someone to shoot at they get mined repped to death. Having flexible settings would also allow 12 mines (and potentially more!) to be set for when there is enough people in the arena to make it fun. - Ninja Cat
