  1. Stillllllll... never knew I could feel so impatient!
  2. Still can't. This is quite frustrating.
  3. I'm having this problem as well. I tried to log in last night and it didn't work. Just tried again, 12 hours later, no luck.
  4. So lynx, how close are you to finishing the direct-click-application-icon thing? I'm a bit nervous that the amount of work my mac does to use Continuum for many hours a day can't be good for its longevity.
  5. wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Continuum/Continuum.exe WINEDEBUG+warn+all
  6. Since I reinstalled, I don't have the "file, edit keys/config, window' open above the "Profile" thing in the Launch station for Continuum. Any idea what may be causing this?
  7. It's not letting me edit this post again, but I found a way to get WINE to work again and am currently running Continuum using the same method I had been previously, which was by copy and pasting this command in Terminal: wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Continuum/Continuum.exe WINEDEBUG+warn+all The only problems I've run across since having to re-download are: sound sounds a bit distorted/different than it did, and I don't have the "File, Edit Keys/Macro bar at the top of the Coninuum terminal. Therefore, I can't select to play windowed (when I do it in "Profile" it has no effect) and playing windowed always used to fix the FPS a bit when playing on a mac. SO, I figured that out and am currently having no problem running it, HOWEVER, will a packaged/icon/Mac Application be coming out soon?
  8. This is really bothering me.. you say you packaged the program, so I removed WINE like you said to (before downloading the package) and the package doesn't work. I tried "Show Contents of Package" and downloading, and there's no icon anywhere on my computer like you said. I was running Continuum on my mac for a year by using wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Continuum/Continuum.exe WINEDEBUG+warn+all And now that I've uninstalled WINE, this doesn't work anymore. What am I doing wrong, did I misunderstand something? I go to https://github.com/krslynx/iSubspace/blob/master/.DS_Store and I hit Download, I've tried both the .zip and the .tar, please help.. neither work. EDIT: The script seems to be re-installing again.. which was kind of pointless, as I thought you had the whole package/icon thing worked out where I would just have to click it and it would open like a normal application; how far off are you from finishing creating such an application? EDIT 2: The script failed, it gave me this error right at the very end: configure: error: Xcode 3.x cannot build 16-bit code correctly. Use --disable-win16 if you don't need 16-bit support. could not run configure command './configure --prefix=/Users/jakemandel/wine/wine-1.2.3 --verbose --enable-win16 --disable-win64 --without-capi --without-hal --without-v4l --with-fontconfig --with-freetype --with-gnutls --with-x --x-includes=/usr/X11/include --x-libraries=/usr/X11/lib ' in /Users/jakemandel/wine/build/wine-1.2.3 - Terminating... I don't know anything about macs, but I was just fine with the copy and pasting of that code to let Continuum run, and now that I can't play I'm pretty displeased. Please help.
  9. Hey guys I've been attending University for 2 years, but since I don't have a PC laptop I couldn't play continuum at school. At the beginning of last semester I discovered a tutorial of getting Continuum on a MacBook using WINE. I've been using it pretty smoothly, as it doesn't lag when I'm at home, but lately at school my computer is definitely seemingly 'working harder,' as the fan turns on immediately once the game's on, and I feel like I'm burning my Mac out. My computer is my school notebook, and although I backup my information I really can't afford to damage the processing system. As I mentioned previously, I also experience some pretty bad lag, always at perfect PING, but my latency spikes and will always float +/-0.1 around 3.0 S2C (which is the limit for division games in trenchwars) disabling me from playing at all. I'm really discouraged as I don't know anything about programming and how to fix this.. so are there any tips you guys can give me? Because I don't know what tutorial I used I can only tell u what I use to start the program up, which is the command: wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Continuum/Continuum.exe WINEDEBUG+warn+all It runs smoothly, good FPS, and I can play at home when I don't experience lag, but the university server seems to have bad cooperation issues with Continuum on the Macbook. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! thix
