I'd love to try it out, but the only place I can do it is on a private zone, and then there's nobody to chat to. :-( If somebody could set up an SSC zone that allows VIE clients for this purpose, it would make testing easier and more fun. I'd do it on my server, but I don't have SSC access.

Can the signature image size limit be changed to allow slightly larger images? My signature image is only 500x100, but IBP says it is to large.

I am always peeved when things like this cause a huge ruckus, because they're really non-issues. We should be more concerned with a ban on burning people with bombs.

Tried frame rate limit, to no avail. I don't think this can be normal, because when I'm in windowed, and have another window active on top of it, Continuum is still doing the same thing as before, but only using 15-20% of processor. When the window is active, it goes to 99% and the fan makes like I'm running some model in Matlab.

When I started playing SS again about 2 weeks ago, after not opening it for a couple months, Continuum started using up 99% of CPU resources when it's active. It shouldn't be doing this, as I have a blazingly fast processor. When I alt-tab out, it takes up a more reasonable chunk of CPU resources, something like 15%. Any ideas on why this is happening, and what I can do?

You sure there aren't brightness controls on the keyboard using the "Fn" key? I have a Compaq laptop and had a similar issue but Fn-F8 cleared it up for me.

Weird. I've had some FPS issues on my 900 mhz AMD Athlon with some cruddy graphics card I know nothing about, but I get 60+ in normal gameplay in 1024x768, 16 bit colors, windowed. If you're playing in windowed, you'll get higher FPS in fullscreen, but still with that computer, you should be having no problems. Yeah Paine is wrong. This is something I've been wondering about for awhile, so I looked it up on Wikipedia, go down to the last paragraph on "Frame rates in video gaming." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frames_per_second

I think both of these people are legitimate, though one of them is polite, and one of them needs helpt communicating on the internet. Somehow they were caught in Attack Monkey's ban. He was very adamant about quitting SS (topic here), and speedhacked so that any temporary lapses in discipline wouldn't bring him back. So I doubt that he is trying to get this netban removed. I'm guessing both these people have been caught in his ban.

Agreed. There is no reason for anybody to need to be able to be completely stopped. Plus, if you're skilled, you can stop yourself anyway in every zone I've been in.
