  1. I think Gay Marriage should just be left alone. Whose to stop people from marrying whom they desire to be with? America the free... Try America the oppressed. I'm going to be blunt here. The only two kinds of people bothered by gay marriage are churches and politicians, and what the hell? Churches have difficulty accepting gay marriage but there seems to be no problem with having sex with an altar boy. Politicians should be focusing on the economy and our state of affairs, not whether or not two guys loving each other is immoral. Same-sex marriage is a choice and other people have no right to decide things for those people and deny anyone the right to do something unless stated illegal. Seems to me that the only back against same-sex marriage on the theological side comes from an old book, which people really shouldn’t take literally because who even knows if it’s the truth? It was written by people and has been changed a lot from the original. I wish people would focus on the economy and worry about the future, instead of arguing in a pointless argument. -Anon
  2. Not sure if this topic is going off topic, I think it still falls under "America the Hated" but now we are discussing Americas hate for its government. Hmm... I don't like this new bill coming out of for Health, the inability to choose your own Doctor, inability to choose swift-ness of medicine, less pay (for medical practitioners)/higher taxes(for all), a waste of stimulus money. The list goes on. I'm finding it difficult to be happy I'm almost out of High School and going to my university... I'm hoping this improves by the time I get out of school in about 8 years. Sigh America the sh*t hole.
  3. I took you for someone who was religious. Hence why I said My argument (If you could call it that) would only make sense had you been attacking SeVeR on a religious basis, which is what it seemed like to me, from what I can read though, it almost appears to be the other way around. Pardon me for the confusion. -Anon E: What do you believe Sev? Excuse me if you have already posted your beliefs, but I don't feel like rummaging through 20 pages while my internet is acting off.
  4. Well, you've lost me already. Do religious people have answers — that is, explanations — or not? If I have a theological explanation for something rather than a scientific one, am I not wrapping my mind around it? Your claim is also far too narrow, as it does not apply to the parts of religion that do not involve explaining phenomena (which I would say is most of it). Mis-read. -Anon
  5. Religion is simply how people who cannot wrap their minds around life being within their own hands explain things that we have no answer for. I see it almost like this, Picture this; a boy is walking with his father circa 400 B.C.E. and notices the sun is moving slowly through the sky (or something similar) he is constantly bothering his father about this "phenomenon" so finally his father, after all day of listening to his son tirelessly bother him on this, turns and says "oh, its the god of the sun, he moves it across the sky so we know what time it is and its actually somebody up there pushing it" just to get his son to be quiet and reward him some silence. However, this particular boy is very curious and asks for more of an explanation of every little thing; Rain, Sleep, War, Dreams etc. His father satisfies each with its own created "super natural" ability or power to satisfy the questions. Now, we know why the sun moves across the sky, we have explanations for these little things that we all take for granted because it is now common knowledge to all of us. The Earth is moving, the Earth is round, the Earth revolves around the sun with other planets. It rains due to precipitation in the clouds becoming to heavy to hold its own form and falling back to Earth. We sleep because the body needs a period to heal and rehabilitate itself. We fight in wars because humans believe they are on the side of right. We dream because our brains think while we are asleep and show us whatever our minds are wondering to. However, we have no explanation for death. All we know is what we observe. The body dies, life ceases to exist. Whether or not the mind and spirit (soul or dogma; I'm trying not to offend anyone) lives on after is difficult to say that is true since noone who has died has ever come back to tell us. Religion helps alleviate the worries for the minds who question what death is a fear that it really is the end of their lives. I, personally, conclude that anyone can say anything they want about what happens when we die since noone can prove that person correct or incorrect. So those people will continue to believe whatever they want and whatever anyone else says is a lie or a direct attack against said person or persons belief. Therefore, religion exists for some, and is silly to others. tldr - To explain something we do not know the truth about simply because anyone can state something they believe is true and since there is no counter argument, it remains true until there is a counter.
  6. Obvious troll forum is obvious.
  7. DFTT. It's difficult to hold an opinion on a country with only what I've learned in history and the words of America. History is written by the victors, I won't trash talk a place on it's beliefs or system of criminalization of people simply because one article brings it up. If you can find an article that isn't written from American Bigotry and is legitimately written by a well-known Iran or Israel reporter and not some highly critical old white male American reporter then I'll believe that it's possibly true. Maybe.
  8. - Incomplete -Dr. Brain Doc, I believe you may be included as one of those individuals Incomplete was talking about. Please excuse the fail quoting. 4chan has started DDoSing youtube again and it messed up my bandwidth. Anywho, this came to my attention after I got done watching one of the burning flag videos (Remember, I'm only 16. Sept 11 2001 was when I was 8-9 years old) so I decided to do some [not so] extensive research. Mostly I've only been able to find recent post about Bush's impact, not so much on why else america is hated, atleast not in my first searches. Thanks for the opinions guys and girls.
  9. Logic dictates that American Government simply sucks. Take out our freedoms and our rights (which are infringed on a daily basis may I remind you) and what do we have left? A bunch of old men, dictating to all of us how much money to give them for them to waste and add further to the over 3 trillion deficit. Why should my hard earned money travel to a war that noone is even interested in fighting anymore? When's the last time you saw morale about this war beyond "I hope they stop this soon" ? Why should that money go so we can build another nuclear bomb even after we have signed treaties not to fire them. Bush even stated about the constitution "It's just a goddamn piece of paper" (Sources: http://www.rense.com/general69/paper.htm http://digg.com/politics/Bush_on_the_Constitution_It_s_just_a_goddamned_piece_of_paper http://www.homelandstupidity.us/2005/12/09/bush-constitution-just-a-goddamned-piece-of-paper/) Why should that money travel to people who "need it" simply because they did not go to school and get an education and job as they should have? You may call me heartless, and I am indeed saddened by the state of the poor class in America. However you'd be foolish to believe that most of that money went to those people. It travels right into the Government pockets. I agree with taxes as they are required to make a country run, however I tire of handing my money over to a bunch of prats using the money for no one's benefit but their own. Where is the freedom in that?
  10. It seems to be that America is the most hated country, followed by Isreal, Iran, China, and Russia. Why is this? I personally think that it had mostly to do with George W Bush's use of his power. For example, When he took office we were a financial power house with huge budget surpluses, an expanding economy; our currency meant stability to people around the world; we had a moral and ethical high ground in our international dealings. Right after the 9/11 attacks, the world's sympathy was with us; Europeans, Arabs, South Americans, Asians we are standing behind us to fight terrorism. We had a great opportunity to safeguard our and the world's future against terrorism by taking out OBL and his cohorts. Fast forward some years and still within GWB's presidency, we find ourselves in a recession, realestate collapsing, unemployment rising, a devalued dollar, a deeply polarized nation and America's moral leadership at the lowest level. We have a 3 trillion war on our hands and the terrorists are still elusive and getting more momentum and strength. What a great opportunity missed and what a terrible fall. Why do you guys think America is one of the most hated countries? Is it the people or the goverment or more? (A) Source For Question: http://www.vexen.co.uk/USA/hateamerica.html
  11. No love lost, vetta.
  12. 15 vs 13 is not stacked. Also considering we had a point defense unit. Why can't you count?
  13. Basing after getting a team to follow these instructions. We won. Massively. http://i318.photobucket.com/albums/mm408/taow88/screenshot5.jpg
  14. Kilo, we all have our flaws. I find that it'd probably be incredibly easy to make something that informed us of major changes. Why exactly are you making this forums point a tiring and difficult one?
  15. Whose hosting the 24/7 bank bot? Even if you had someone to host it, which would probably be an easy thing to find from what I can see of the kids sitting in spec all day... -.- Even if you had that someone who was trustworthy, what of it? Money is already a silly thing in hs due to it's simplicity and general easy-ness to acquire, use, and re-make in a span of a week or less if you are a dedicated player. Why use a bot for something that is already pretty well taken care of by the players. If you are moronic enough to loan or trust your money to someone you don't know and they don't pay you back then that is your loss. Don't worry though, you'll earn get it back within the week.
  16. Actually, something to tell us when you nerf items would be pretty nice.

Is Hyperspace code already a stress on the server? Integrating something like this sounds difficult to both create and to integrate without removing from the code as it stands. Would be really cool if the server could take something like that but it's already crashing before a day is done...
