  1. My bad on the code, guys. MWPW8-46HKW-8XGWV-GRHHC-X2HMJ My name is caedicus on XBL if you want to play online w/ me.
  2. Sure! MWPW8-46HKW-8XGWV-GRHHC-X2HM It will be first come first serve on this one. If the person who gets this code comes back and leaves feedback about the game on this thread. I'll post up one more :-) Cieu, I agree that HUD and menu system can be improved. It will be one of the things you'll see improved when I update the game.
  3. Hey guys, I finally got the game out!!! My roomate made a sick trailer. It puts the one I originally posted to shame! Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68ICQ3C93RA I suggest watching it in HD to get a better idea what you'll be experience if you play it. If you have a 360, you can play a free trial at XBox Live Marketplace under the Indie Games section. If you want to play it online it's only 400 MSP ($5 U.S.)
  4. I will release the game within a month or two. It's pretty much done, I just gotta play test the hell out of it with my friends. You will be able to play the demo for free, but if you want to play multiplayer it will cost 240 or 400 points (the equivalent of $3 or $5)...I haven't decided between those prices yet. I think I might get some redeem codes for the game. I'll see if I have any left over after I send them to reviewers.
  5. There is background music in the game. I just turned it off it show off the sound effects. I got from the UK doing the music, and it's pretty sweet. I just need to get his lazy ass to do a few finishing touches.
  6. You have no idea what you are talking about. I never landed a "VC" or any thing like that. I am an Indie developer and will release this under Xbox live's Indie game section on the marketplace. This is definitely not a get-rich-quick scheme for me. These types of games usually sell very poorly on the console. I'm creating this game (along with others) to eventually break into the game industry, which is not an easy thing to do if you want to get in a big name studio. I spent over a thousand hours as the single programmer on this game. If I were doing this for the sole purpose of money, I'd be insane. Yeah this game has influence from SS and other games. I clearly stated this in my OP. However, it has some very unique aspects to it that no one has seen yet. You must have some powerful psychic abilities to be able to deduce if a game is just a clone from two minutes of video footage.
  7. Lol, my bad. I think the poll thing cuts off everything after single quotation marks. I originally meant to put "It's lame." Anyways, I'm glad you don't think the game is lame. That's cool that I can change the poll questions though. If everyone thought my game was lame I would change that option to be "The best game ever!"
  8. Thanks for the responses guys. The control scheme is like this: Left thumbstick controls movement. If you're ship has fixed guns then right trigger fires. If you're ship has turrets then the right thumb stick shoots in the direction you're pointing. Left and right bumpers control special abilities. If you hold the left trigger down you can rotate your ship without thrusting. If it gets popular enough on the 360 I'll try to make a PC release. It would take me some time to port the network code however.
  9. Just wanted to post a video of a game I'm working on called Abaddon. I haven't played Subspace in a while, but SS and a game called Escape Velocity has definitely influenced me when I designed this game. I created it using a (almost) free development kit Microsoft provides for the XBox 360. Anyways, I would like to know what people who enjoy the top-down shooter genre think.
