    Noldec is already an smod Somebody is already working on getting the zone reset I'm working on the map that will be put up once the reset happens The only issue is that we don't have somebody who can actively "dev" ("dev" implying work with the database and modules). All of the other bases are covered, though.

  16. Yeah. The price is right on bricks, but that price is meaningless when you have a good FTL to grab them over and over. Same with fields, except the delay makes ftl a little less ridiculous for obtaining it.
  17. The best that can be done with modifying bricks is what Sparse brick does: allows weapon penetration, but blocks ships. Bricks cannot be modified to be other tiles, they're weirdly special like that.
  18. 1. Decide if you're making the ship center- or base-oriented. 2. Choose a signature that would work best for your choice. Obviously, you probably don't want to use Semiwarp in a basing ship when you could instead use a signature reactor. 3. Look at the ?iteminfo for your signature item. Look at the perks it gives you. For example, ZPM drops bulletfireenergy and multifireenergy by 2. 4. Expand on that -2 bulletenergy perk. Get a couple of EPI Capacitors. Use a level 3 gun to get the most out of the -2 bulletenergy (making it -6 per shot). 5. ??? 6. Profit, maybe. This is the way I have been building ships for many resets now. Alternatively, you could just be comfortable with that -2 bulletenergy and shoot for other various perks from various items, and get a sort of "system optimizer" effect on your ship. The rest is common sense: Obviously, don't put two siege mounts on a center ZPM terrier. Unless you have some off-the-wall strategy, then whatever.
  19. I wouldn't say that is going to be the case, IMO. As long as you leave options that have their own perks (a lot of people would probably choose ripper over giga for the sake of auto-aim), it only acts as an additional option (while reducing availability to other ships in this case, which is unfortunate for some items). ... way back when, when weasels and a few other ships had their own exclusive items, people didn't -always- use them, but it was nice to have around. I guess this is something that would work better with a new itemset later in the future - say, an "exclusives" category - rather than mucking with the ship capabilities we already have...
  20. I like this. I wish there were more "ship-exclusive" items. The same could be done for Quantum Torpedo for levi and Trap Laser for Spider. (I say Quantum Torpedo because I'd like to see it buffed but not used everywhere, and I say Trap Laser because I'd like to see it not used everywhere except for defense-oriented spids)

    I guess when I said anti-anti-warp, I was thinking strictly of shipchanging, not warping. Shipchanging is possible under antiwarp except in HS - notice how you get a message saying you're antiwarped, rather than the yellowtext notification in the middle of the screen. That's the part I was thinking could be easily modified, but yeah, I should've clarified

    I've actually noticed this as a small problem, and I think there aught to be anti-antiwarp in the flag rooms so that you can shipchange. Unfortunately, with the way regioning currently is, I can only tell parts of the map to _not send out_ anti-warp stuff, rather than _not receive_ antiwarp stuff. Wish I could solve it myself, but it's the kind of thing where some module will have to be modified. That, anyway, is way more practical than killing yourself. You risk that sudden huge thor splash damage just before you're about to kill yourself, and that kind of sucks, too. Probably not a good idea to cut corners and just give mine-users access to bombs in any shape or form (not counting thors).
  23. Personally, I'd rather see 0 signature items than 2. Sigs kind of mess with the flow of the system... the system being balance.
