UAC is ALWAYS off for me, since I got the laptop Runing as Admin doesn't work either It's such a pain...

Just tried now, moved it to desktop and then tried documents folder. Did not work.

Well, I've been asking around and it seems this problem occurs for most people who use windows Vista, so I guess its a compatibility issue. What it is, everytime you press the play button to play SS, the continuum client crashes for like 30 seconds, if you click on the window in this time it says "Not Responding" but after the 30 seconds, no matter what, it starts. I want that to stop happening. IDK how >.< Also the resolution problem in the topic by Kryp on EG forum that I bumped, that seems to be just for Vista users. I totally agree with LiDDiS. What is the POINT in shutting down a zone now? It's just going to make more people quit SS faster, plunging it into further decline. Idiotic decision.

If you look down a few posts, you'd notice I too made a topic about this... for a reason still unknown to me, as I tried MANY things to get rid of it, one eventually worked, sadly, i dont know which, but I have got rid of my hopone lag by bypassing the hop and taking 2 extra hops.

I cannot change ISP and it does seem that Sky is the only ISP in the UK which goes through this hop :/. To others ^ I have contacted my ISP AND HOPONE however they are no help and just end up blaming each other for the problem... Is there no possible way of blocking a hop in order to stop this lag? The lag normally goes away around 4:30pm GMT and Started at around 2:40pm GMT. This lag is affecting many people and I am searching for a way to resolve it. Both HopOne and Easynet are blaming each other for the lag and for me, changing ISP is not an option. You can easily set it up yourself; you'll have your own biller (subbill.exe) and server (subgame2.exe) running on your own machine. The server kit itself is in the downloads section here ( http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?autocom=downloads ) But the 'How to make a zone' document should get you going pretty easily http://www.minegoboom.com/server/howto.html These guides are very usefull for a bigginer to set up a server matching your discription (testing settings ect). Takes about 30-60 mind to go through..
