So I did a search of this forum and found that I seem to have the same problem as can be found here -> http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic...82&hl=vista I thought I'd give a few more details to the problem in hopes that someone might be able to tell me what's different about vista that isn't letting me play continuum. First, what I have: - Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 x64 - Connected via a router and set as the DMZ host (have also tried plugging in directly to the modem with no success) - UAC is off - Windows firewall is off (went to windows services and completely disabled it) - The game is installed to the following path -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Continuum An overview of my network settings can be found below: http://img90.imageshack.us/my.php?image=networksetupck9.jpg Everything is set up to automatically acquire IPs etc etc. The internet works so that's not the issue, it's simply this one older game. I should also mention that continuum worked great on this exact same computer when I had windows xp running on it. I have already tried the "Run as administrator" option and that does nothing for me either. The Problem So the actual problem is that I fire up continuum and I come to the main screen with the list of zones. They're all red, every single one of them. I click the Zones button and try to download the zone list using "auto.subdir.org auto.subdir.net" without the quotes. I receive the following message: Unable to retrieve zone listing. Make sure you are using one or more valid directory server addresses (example: sscentral.subspace.net). Also, make sure you are currently connected to the internet. I thought, "Ok fine I'll just add the zone manually since there's only one zone I would play, which is Hockey Zone." I find out that Hockey Zone's IP and Port is 208.122.59.226:7501 so I input that in the "Add Custom Zone" box. Back to the main screen and still the zone is red. If I click the trace button on the main screen the game is able to ping the server no problem with the average ping time being 40ms. So I can ping this thing but continuum is somehow not able to send packets through windows for some reason. My firewall is off, but I added continuum to the firewall exception list just to be safe. Before completely disabling the firewall service I also opened the advanced firewall settings and made sure that both inbound and outbound packets were fully allowed for the continuum.exe application. I attached the trace to Hockey Zone in case that helps with anything, but I doubt it would. So now what? I'm not sure what the !@#$%^&* to do. There are people out there playing continuum on vista without any problems, and then there's a handful of us who can't get the game to work at all. I'm not too sure what to do next, as I feel like I've eliminated everything that could be preventing this game from connecting directly to hockey zone, or the server list. Any help would be appreciated. hztrace.txt
