  1. Well, since I have not heard from a moderator that anything is going to be done to change the zone, I bid you all farewell. Was a good run while it lasted.
  2. Manivo, You are insinuating that I am one who is simply not coping with change well. I of course, disagree. Hyperspace itself was a change to me compared to zones I've played in the past. But even with a base WB, with the old settings it was fun, and I felt like I was on equal terms with the other ships. There was a balance. All I am saying is that the balance is heavily skewed towards the larger ships now. I have not said in any part of this thread that I think the WB is nerfed. Give the bird more nrg to deal with the bigger ships, deduct money for killing weaker ships, or nerf the bigger ships, it does not matter to me. Level the playing field is what I am after, because it is NOT fun. This is all semantic really. I am in the forums instead of playing the game. I have voiced my opinion, you all have voiced yours. Nothing will change, and HS has lost pilots. To those of you who love it, love it with fewer opponents. That is just fact.
  3. Thanks Hiro. This message coming from just one person has little weight. I hope more contribute to it as you have.
  4. I did not know that Brain, so I suppose that is not a legitimate complaint. What I do know is that the population has decreased, and that was not the goal of the revamp. I know that the conversation in the zone has degrade significantly. I see new pilot names, and gross immaturity in communication. Somehow your changes have attracted a new age group. I know that I am not the only one who thinks these changes were not thoroughly tested and vetted. And as I've said, the result is a decreased population in a game that already has a limited population. The part that really irritates me is that I love subspace, always have. You had a great zone, and now you have an average one. Too late to change things, I understand, but too bad as well.
  5. Death, Those are good points, but I think there is one other issue. Let's assume that the current rules are acceptable for a second, and I play until my ship is a compe!@#$%^&*ive fighting machine. What is to stop the mods from pulling the rug from underneath all my hard work again by resetting the zone? I worked my !@#$%^&* off to get to 20k exp last time, almost made it too, and my reward was zero. Frankly I do not trust the mods to not do it again.
  6. Well you are all en!@#$%^&*led to your opinions, but as I said, the zone is no longer fun. I play for fun, and the changes have killed the fun for me. The end result is that the zone has lost a consistent player.
  7. Let me respond to each of you in kind. Unix, Yes, the warbird is a capable ship, but I die far more often to stray gun spam than to actual fighting. So the warbird's increased effectiveness is mitigated by ships like terriers which have way too much ability to spam lev 3 guns. Suicide, I've been playing here a couple of months, and I do not think anyone would say that in that time I have EVER not earned my kills. In fact, it is for that exact reason that I am upset. My skills mean little now when players gang up in a turret and fly around center spamming their guns. I used to be able to damage them, maybe even kill one or two. Now, they are a wall of gunfire that skill alone cannot deal with. MWarrior, I said it to you in zone, and i will say it to you here. I do not fear you. I do not worry that your skills can outmatch mine. I do fear your ships, however. You play more, so you have more money to invest in them. You kill me with your ships, but you have never beaten me in a fight. So to conclude, increasing the ability of the warbird by say, 10%, while making the other ships MUCH stronger has resulted in an experience which is no longer fun. I play for fun. I am saddened that hyperspace is no longer welcoming to pilots like me. I have checked the other zones and none really match what hyperspace offered. So I am not just leaving hyperspace, but continuum as a whole. Thank you again, for ruining what was a great zone. My kingdom for Dueling Arizona...
  8. Hyperspace was the only zone where a solo warbird could thrive without picking up rocks. That is dead now. I tried to like your new settings, but they have resulted in a very few players who play more than others having such greatly more capable ships that playing is no longer viable or fun. And those players with better ships gang up on everyone else I assume for the money. All you had to do was make it so money was deducted for killing a significantly less equipped/exp player. Your changes have managed to neuter what once was a zone where skill mattered. I am done with hyperspace. Thanks for ruining what was once a fun zone.
